v3.0 introduces Bookmarks: save the exact location, zoom level, palette, and shading of a view you love, and jump back to it anytime. Share any bookmark as a real doomfracting:// link — AirDrop, Messages, email, anywhere — and it opens straight to that view on whoever you send it to, even on a device that’s never saved a palette of its own. Comes with 14 real, researched locations built in (Seahorse Valley, Elephant Valley, the Feigenbaum point, and more, drawn from Robert Munafo’s Mu-Ency and Wikipedia — not invented), plus an Online Library with 18 further deep cuts to download, the same way the existing Palette Library already works. AUTO and Animate Colors deliberately don’t carry over into a bookmark — it’s one specific render to return to, not a journey to resume mid-step.

v2.1 brings Julia full screen: rotate to landscape and tap the corner tag to swap your whole display over to the Julia set for wherever you're zoomed — its own palette-animation recording included, one tap back to Mandelbrot whenever you're done. A second corner tag jumps straight to the Palettes screen without digging through a menu. The Online Library's classic Fractint collection has also grown to 96 hand-picked palettes, and palette-animation video export is significantly faster.

v2.0 introduces a full Palettes screen: browse, save, import, share, rename, and duplicate color palettes as real Fractint-style .map files. A new Online Library lets you pick favorites from a curated collection — including original DoomFracting sets and classic Fractint palettes, hosted with the Stone Soup Group's permission — and bring in as many as you like in one pass.

v1.1 introduces AUTO, a hands-free exploration mode that drifts deeper into the Mandelbrot set on its own — a screensaver-style ambient tour. You can now record a looping video clip of the color animation straight to Photos, mirror your live render to Apple Watch (double-tap to switch to Julia), and keep your last view glanceable from a Lock Screen, StandBy, or Home Screen widget. Also faster recoloring throughout, for smoother SOUND and Animate Colors playback.
