Forma3D is a convenient 3D editor for iPhone and iPad that lets you quickly prepare models for 3D printing right on your device. Create objects from scratch, edit shapes with precise tools, scan real-world objects with LiDAR, and export results to STL, 3MF, or USDZ for your slicer. The interface is beginner-friendly while providing advanced tools for accurate model refinement. Forma3D Features: Primitives: Create cubes, soft cubes, spheres, soft spheres, cylinders, tori, pyramids, planes, tubes, and 3D text—with soft/smooth variants for organic shapes. 3D Scanning: Scan real-world objects using LiDAR and photogrammetry (Object Capture). Choose auto or manual capture, select detail level, and import the reconstructed mesh directly into your scene. File Support: Import/Export STL, 3MF, and USDZ. Save and load native Forma3D project files with autosave. Precise Transformations: Position, rotation, and scale with exact controls. Boolean Operations: Union and subtract using the Manifold CSG engine for clean, manifold-safe results. Manifold Cut CSG: Slice objects with line, rectangle, ellipse, circle, polygon, or freehand-drawn tools—perfect cutlines, ready to print. Mesh Editing: Edit vertices, edges, and faces directly. Extrude and inset faces. Bevel edges with adjustable width, segments, and profile. Edge loop and edge ring selection (Blender-style). Toggle flat or smooth shading per object. Selection Tools: Single, rectangle, oval, brush, loop/ring, and multi-selection. X-Ray Mode: Adjustable transparency, wireframe overlay, and ghost mode. Scene Navigation: View cube, frame to selection, and camera pivot modes. Measurement: Ruler tool for measuring distances in the viewport. Object Management: Undo/redo, duplicate, delete, object list, and project autosave. Forma3D helps you go from idea to ready-to-print model faster and simpler—without complex desktop software pipelines.
