Mariner Skills, LLC., an ABS and USCG-Approved online training provider, is committed to raising the bar in maritime education and training (MET). Mariner Skills, is dedicated to serving the industry through an extensive portfolio of eLearning courses; shipboard training without the need for Internet, shore-based training for office based managers and superintendents and for the crew whilst at home or away from the ship, accessible anytime, anywhere.
All Mariner Skills courses run on a platform based on a proven self-paced learning model which employs an engaging learning management system that includes an e-Book filled with concise text-based discussions and compelling animated videos, self-assessment quizzes, and assessments.
Our cloud-based SaaS offering is delivered through a learning management system (LMS) which is approved for delivery of courses both by ABS and by the USCG. Mariner Skills’ LMS hosts our extensive portfolio of courses approved by the USCG and by ABS. The LMS is a user-friendly learning platform that has supported over 500,000 learners worldwide! Our delivery platform extends to mobile platforms – iOS based Apps are available for our learners.
Offering convenience and flexibility, our online maritime training and skills courses are designed to provide seafaring and onshore personnel alike with convenient access to an extensive portfolio of courses. Our standard offering to industry professionals include: Polar Code Training, Tank Ship Dangerous Liquids, Tank Ship Liquefied Gases, Designated duty engineer course, Ship Superintendent Course, Vessel Security Officer, Marine Environmental Awareness, and several other blended and Online STCW Courses. We are presently in the process of adding to our portfolio several engineering rating and officer training, and navigation officer training courses.
