Nordic: a new virtual analog core with its own panel. It imports Nord Lead SysEx dumps and Clavia's factory banks (.syx, .mid and .zip) and comes with the Internal factory bank and the Sound Card 1-4 banks. MIDI program changes select programs from the loaded bank. In a host, Nordic loads as its own AUv3. The effect chain hosts Audio Unit effects: Apple's effects and installed AUv3 effects in the app, Apple's effects in the AUv3. Add Effect lists them by category. An effect that crashes while loading is set aside and can be allowed again under Crashed Effects. Apple's effects are edited on the board. The FX button is shown next to the bank menu for every core, so an effect chain can be set up on a running core. Nord Lead 2X: the output is 12 dB lower, at the level of the other cores. Nord Lead 2X board: names for every switch, plus LFO sync, unison detune and bend range. Board pages that fit the screen height share a tab, and tab names are no longer cut off. Panic in the bank menu of every core: sustain off, all sound off and note-off for every note on all 16 channels. Import App Data URL Backup accepts a link copied as a URL or as text, and reports an invalid link before downloading. Standalone app with the keyboard: the rack, the panel and the keyboard stack up from the bottom in any orientation. Unassigned host parameters are named Slot 1 to Slot 128. Fixed DX7 crackles. Fixed CA-72 POLY dropping every other note on iPhone. Fixed a crash when loading the Virus, microQ and Nord Lead 2X cores, and a crash when removing an effect. Retromulator now requires iOS 16.

Boards: a control panel under the rack for 15 cores, with knobs, faders, switches and value lists on pages laid out like the hardware sections. Boards follow patch loads, incoming MIDI and host automation. Boards are available for the Virus A, B and C, Virus TI, Nord Lead 2X, JP-8000, microQ, Microwave XT, DX7, Matrix-1000, OPL3, SID, Ayumi, OpenB3, Wurlitzer, Akai S1000 and the SC series. The board and the on-screen keyboard can be shown or hidden from the bank menu. On iPhone the board takes the keyboard's place. Hold a board control to link it to one of the 128 host parameters. Links are saved per core and in the project. NRPN input, enabled per core, sets the core's own parameters. The core can be selected over MIDI with SysEx F0 7D 52 4D 01 cc F7 or NRPN 127/0. MIDI out for board edits and for the core's own output, both optional. The AUv3 sends them to the host. The standalone app sends them to a MIDI output device and channel chosen in the None core menu, so a board can edit external hardware. Editor Only, in the bank menu of each core with a board: the board runs without the sound engine, and without firmware, to edit the original synth over MIDI out. The Firmware Not Found dialog also offers Use as Editor. The core menu is grouped into Virtual Analog, Analog, Wavetable, FM, Chip, Keyboard, and Sampler & GM. Fixed extra latency on the SID core when it was selected from the core menu.

CA-72: POLY mode with four voices, each rendered on its own CPU core, and mono UNISON with three stacked voices. POLY and UNISON respond to MIDI CC 60 and 61. CA-72: POLY plays four voices on iPads with M1 or later and two on iPhone. Offline renders always use all four voices. CA-72: QUALITY steps down with a notice when the CPU cannot keep up. CA-72: All Sound Off support. Fixed the SC-55mkII playing a half step flat until a GS Reset. Fixed SC-55mkII notes waiting behind queued controllers. Fixed extra latency in the SC cores after startup underruns. Fixed the Matrix-1000 playing one octave high.

New CA-72 core: Minimoog Model D circuit model by Idle Foundry. Three oscillators, mixer with noise and external input, filter and loudness contours, plus a voice section with Double, Detune, Width and Entropy, output Drive and Level, and LO, HI and ULTRA quality modes. CA-72: front panel shown below the rack with its own pitch and mod wheels. It can be hidden from the bank menu. CA-72: 46 factory presets and a User bank. Presets are .fxp files, banks import and export as .fxb, and MIDI Program Change selects them. Standalone: MIDI In channel (Omni or 1 to 16), MIDI In device selection and Bluetooth MIDI pairing in the Options menu of the None core. Show MIDI Keyboard option to hide the on-screen keyboard and wheels. Fixed OpenB3 Rotary Speed not following the mod wheel and sustain pedal.

New OpenB3 core: Hammond B3 organ with Leslie speaker, based on the setBfree engine by Michele Perrone. Upper, lower and pedal drawbars, percussion, vibrato and chorus, overdrive, reverb and three Leslie cabinets (122/147, 145, 16 Vibratone). OpenB3: Factory and User banks. Presets are .fxp files, imported or saved from the bank menu, and MIDI Program Change selects them. OpenB3: keyboard split from the bank menu, with pedals below C2, lower manual from C2 to B3 and upper manual from C4. OpenB3: all parameters are saved with the session, including edits made after loading a preset.

DX7: the mod wheel, breath control, foot control and aftertouch now default to range 99 with pitch, amplitude and EG bias on, so the modulation set in each patch takes effect. DX7: the bank menu has a setup entry for each controller, to set its range and turn pitch, amplitude and EG bias on or off. The settings are saved with the session. Matrix-1000: the oscillators now restart on the edges of the emulated 8254 timers, as on the hardware, so the phase between DCO 1 and DCO 2 follows the firmware. Matrix-1000: DCO sync follows the circuit in the schematic. Soft, Medium and Hard sync now work as on the hardware and sound different from earlier versions. Matrix-1000: control voltages use the hardware's DAC ranges and sample and hold network, which rounds the steps in envelopes, filter sweeps and pulse width modulation. Matrix-1000: pulse width 31 is an exact square wave. Matrix-1000: the VCA curves follow the CEM3396 datasheet, filter FM comes from the DCO 1 wave without the pulse, and the filter adds a second harmonic at high resonance. Matrix-1000: the output stage is linear and no longer compresses chords. Matrix-1000: the core calibrates again the first time it loads after this update. Fixed Matrix-1000 DCO 2 taking twice as long as the hardware to settle on a new pitch after a note change.

New core: Oberheim Matrix-1000. The original firmware runs on an emulated Motorola 6809 board that drives six CEM3396 voice models. Banks 2 to 9 load from the patch EPROM, and each of the 96 patch parameters has a MIDI CC. Matrix-1000 LFO 1 and LFO 2 can sync to the host tempo or incoming MIDI clock, set from the bank menu and stored with the session. Matrix-1000: MIDI Bank Select (CC 0 or CC 3) picks the bank file and Program Change picks the patch, the same as choosing them in the menus. Wurlitzer 200A: the OpenWurli model is updated to version 0.9.0, with a new pickup model, reed swing and air damping from per-note hammer tables, a new preamp solver, a tremolo with the real LED response, and the power amp and volume control networks from the schematic. Wurlitzer 200A: parameter changes are smoothed. The Pickup switch is now called MLP Corrections and is off by default. New MIDI CC Table at the end of every core's bank menu, listing each mapped controller. Tracker core: new Loop In and Loop Out points, set from the playing order with the F0 and G0 keys or with the host parameters and CC 20 and CC 21. Tracker core: new Wait for Pattern End option, on by default, so position keys jump when the playing pattern ends instead of cutting it off. The firmware picker accepts several files at once, for cores that need two ROM dumps. Fixed the app hanging when switching from a DSP core such as the Virus to None.

Host parameters now show the values of the loaded patch on the JE-8086, Virus, MicroQ, XT, N2X and DX7 cores. New host parameters: Virus sub oscillator, ring modulator, unison, keyfollow and LFO symmetry; MicroQ glide rate, Osc 2 FM and more envelope stages; XT glide time, FM amount, Osc 2 octave and modifier amounts; N2X filter envelope attack; Tracker volume. Parameters that had no effect on a core are now hidden. Fixed JE-8086 filter cutoff and other sound parameters not responding to host automation. Fixed 88emu cutoff, resonance, envelope and vibrato automation on the SC-55mkII, SC-88, 88VL and 88Pro, and the delay level, feedback and send to reverb parameters changing the wrong setting. Fixed the Sustain and Portamento parameters never switching on. Fixed host automation going out on the wrong MIDI channel after editing an 88emu part other than part 1. Fixed DX7 Expression having no effect at full volume, and Wurli Expression replacing the volume setting. Fixed the Wurli Pickup switch not turning on. Fixed Akai S1000 volume, pan, modulation and expression not applying to notes played after the change. Fixed the Ayumi envelope shape parameters reaching only part of their range. Fixed the standalone app losing the loaded synth and patch when iOS closed it in the background. 88emu: system SysEx in MIDI files, such as mode and part input settings, now reaches the SC-88 firmware, and truncated MIDI files no longer read past the end of a track.

The standalone app can now play through AirPlay speakers and receivers. Tracker core: new Shuffle and Stop at Playlist End options for playlists. Songs that end in long silence now move on after five seconds in a playlist or a render. 88emu MIDI player: new playlist with folder import, M3U import and export, Shuffle, Stop at Playlist End and MIDI notes for previous and next song. A playlist can be rendered offline to WAV or AAC. Popup menus opened from the bank selector now use the same row height as the bank menu.

Fixed the Tracker core render progress bar. Sped up the Tracker core Sinc512 offline render with SIMD and parallel voice mixing. Fixed MOD files playing in mono in the Tracker core.

New Tracker core: plays XM, MOD, S3M and IT modules, with Adlib instruments in S3M files played by the OPL3 core. Includes playlists with M3U import and export, folder import, a position list to start the song from any pattern order, MIDI notes for play, stop, previous, next and position jumps, sync to host tempo or MIDI clock and offline rendering to WAV or AAC. New JE-8086 core: the Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080 synths, emulation by Giulio Zausa, running their original firmware and ESP audio chips. Loads the keyboard or rack ROM, plays both patches of a performance with the Upper and Lower parts and imports Performance Manager .pfm banks and sysex patches. Tracker modules and MIDI files now open in Retromulator straight from the Files app and the share sheet: the matching core loads and the song starts playing.

Added iOS 27 compatibility.

New 88emu core: Roland SC-88, SC-88VL, SC-88Pro, SC-8850 and SC-55mkII boards, with GS variation, map and rhythm handling, program and drum kit names read straight from the board ROM and load and plays Standard MIDI Files from the bank menu including offline rendering to WAV or AAC. All cores have now parameters exposed for automation in AUv3. Fixed a resampler glitch that dropped unconsumed input samples. Fixed and improved app data backup export.

Faster 56k based cores and minor fixes.

Redesigned pitch bend and mod wheels, fixed DX7 firmware not being detected after importing a backup, and fixed a crash when quitting.

New SID GoatTracker .sid bank loading (PSID/RSID) — extracts instruments and macro tables from files packed by GoatTracker 2's exporter, with automatic detection of per-export feature flags (nopulse, nofilter, noinstrvib, fixedparams). Fixed SID program combo showing only the index (e.g. "001") with no instrument name after bank load — the patch-name update path was clearing the authoritative name from the bank file.

Fixed DX7 core note tuning issues on project reload and instantiation.

New Commodore 64 SID 6581/8580 core — cycle-accurate emulation via reSID with 3-voice polyphony, oldest-voice stealing, high-quality resampling, and a full 50 Hz macro playback engine driving wavetable, pulsetable, filtertable and speedtable per voice. Fixed DX7 master tuning offset — A4 now stays at 440 Hz on cleared battery RAM boot. Fixed resampler stale rate on synth swap — switching to a synth with a different native rate. Fixed OpenWurli tremolo depth/swing curve being non-monotonic at high settings. Fixed OpenWurli noteOff not clamping to the valid MIDI range, which could leave out-of-range notes unreleasable.

Fixed OpenWurli stuck notes when re-triggering the same key while sustain pedal is held — deferred note-off counter was a boolean flag, losing track of multiple releases. Fixed OpenWurli MIDI panic (CC 123) not clearing sustain pedal state — sustained notes could remain stuck after All Notes Off.
