Real-time hydration data for admins monitoring multiple subjects at once.
To keep the team properly hydrated, you can’t just use a “one size fits all” approach. You need to craft custom strategies informed by each individual’s personal biology. Yet this data has been nearly impossible to access up until now.
At Nix, we built the first biosensor to analyze sweat and provide personal hydration data – scientifically validated and delivered in real time.
Before a session, tell the Nix Pro app what type of activity the subjects are participating in along with expected intensity, equipment worn, and more. You can also consult the Nix Index to see how the environment — factors like the temperature, humidity, or altitude — might impact hydration needs for a given session.
Once a person begins to sweat, Nix Pro reports each subject’s fluid and electrolyte losses every second, alerting you to high loss rates and notifying you when it’s time to perform a safety check based on an individual’s hydration status. Other features include:
- Real time sodium and potassium losses
- Hydration status based on body mass losses
- Change in skin temperature throughout a session
- Correlation of sweat data and environment with the Nix Index – a composite index of six environmental factors: temperature, humidity, dew point, altitude, wind speed, and solar load
- Post-session sweat intelligence via insights average loss rates and sweat composition metrics
- Loss rates based on intensity and Nix Index
This empowers you to deliver custom hydration strategies for optimized safety, performance, and efficiency for the team.
