Please note, the app collects location data to enable real-time location even when the app is closed or not in use.
PiTrack includes a precise location-tracking feature that activates only when the user is on duty and the app is open in the foreground. During an active duty session, the app captures the user's current GPS location at regular one-minute intervals and transmits this data to a secure backend server. This functionality is essential for teams or organizations that require real-time updates during working hours while respecting the device's privacy controls.
The tracking feature is intentionally limited to foreground usage to align with iOS best practices and maintain user trust. It ensures that users are always aware when their location is being shared, providing transparency and compliance with platform privacy guidelines. Location data is never collected or transmitted when the user is off duty or when the app is not running in the background.
Location updates are collected only when the app is open and the user has been granted location permission. PiTrack does not collect or transmit any background location data. All user data is securely handled and used solely for duty-related operations.
