Pyxen 26.6 — a home screen, and a clearer evaluation. - Pyxen opens to its own home screen now, not a file browser. Pick up where you left off under Continue, or start from Examples and Snippets — every project shows a cover taken from the game itself. - Snippets are grouped by what they do rather than by how hard they are, so the one you need is where you would look for it. - First launch opens a game that already runs. Press Run to play it, change the code, run it again. - Your existing projects stay exactly where they are, in Files and iCloud. Nothing has been moved. - Evaluation change: Pyxen is free to make three projects, as big as you like — no limit on scripts, images, sounds or tilemaps inside them. Projects you already have always open and stay fully editable. Games you share carry a watermark, and a single one-time purchase lifts every limit, forever. - Delete the previous word in the code editor with Option+Delete. - Drag the divider to resize the right panel to whatever width suits you.

Pyxen 26.5 — screen effects, camera shake, and smoother movement. - Render effects: add bloom, scanlines, screen curvature, vignette, and chromatic aberration to your game. Tune them in Project Settings, tweak them live with the in-game View Settings panel, or drive them from code with pyxen.render. - Camera shake and flash: camera.shake() for impact and camera.flash() for hit feedback — durations in frames, fully deterministic for the time-travel debugger. - Smoother movement: GridBody now moves at sub-pixel speeds, so body.move = (0.5, 0) glides instead of stalling, with pixel-crisp collisions intact. - Drag and long-press input: mouse buttons and touches now report where they started (start_pos) and how long they've been held (frames). Keyboard and gamepad buttons report held frames too. - Snippet Pack: new in-app demos for render effects, camera shake and flash, and drag-and-hold input. - Fixes: the View Settings panel no longer crashes the Mac full-screen player; the purchase screen no longer appears for players who already own Pyxen; gamepad button pressed/released is now reliable.

Pyxen 26.4 — tilemap editor, Windows export, and 66 API demos. - Tilemap editor: new asset type with paint tools, tag mode, palette, pinch-to-zoom, rectangle selection with clipboard, undo/redo, resize sheet, and autosave. Load with GridMap(tilemap="…"). - Windows export: build a standalone .exe ready for itch.io. Bundles the runtime and your assets — no install required. - Snippet Pack: 66 in-app API demos, categorized and explorable, each with its own README and cover. Fully localized. - Find and Replace: per-file Find bar with case and whole-word options, plus a project-wide Search pane that jumps to any match across your scripts. - Code editor: viewport now follows the cursor when navigating with the keyboard or extending a selection with the mouse. - Sample browser refresh: samples grouped by category with clickable covers. - Sprite editor: smoother touch handling on iPad. - Sound bank editor: inline rename, delete-key support, preset-named sounds. - Help browser: Back from a README returns to it, and reference links open inline. - Engine: game storage now persists synchronously on game stop, so progress isn't lost.

Pyxen 26.3 — sound banks, music, and Mac polish. - Sound Banks: new asset type with sfxr synth, mic recorder, and audio FX (trim, normalize, fade, pitch shift, reverb, distortion, bitcrush) — plus 8 classic presets. - Music playback: unified Music() API for MIDI, tracker formats (MOD/XM/IT/S3M), and OGG. - High-quality MIDI soundfont option (MuseScore) alongside the Standard soundfont. - Mac editor preferences: themes, font size, autocomplete. - Light theme readability improvements and polished project settings UI.

Pyxen 26.2 — draw shapes, animate sprites, and build bigger worlds. - Sprite animations: create named animations in the sprite editor and play them with Sprite("hero", animation="walk").
