News reporters often have to improvise a speech at a disaster or a war zone to give live updates. Some people have to make a live speech in front of a large audience before receiving an award. All these people have in their hands are maybe just a microphone and an iPhone. Instead of resorting to a piece of paper with some information on it that can easily be blown away during a Category 5 tropical storm, can they use their iPhone or iPad at hand instead to read a speech script that they have prepared beforehand? RollerText 3 is an iPhone & iPad app for news reporters and speech makers who sometimes have to improvise a speech in a situation where they can't bring a big machine like an expensive teleprompter.  You won't need this app if you are happy working with a text or PDF file during a speech. RollerText 3 isn't just a simple plain text file reader. It lets you use your device as a virtual teleprompter such that you can see a rolling text script letter by letter on your device screen. And you can control the rolling speed. Double-tapping the screen, you can pause and unpause text rolling. By this approach, you will know what to pay attention to over an entire transcript during a speech. On top of a rolling text feature (Text Rolling), RollerText 3 has three additional text presentation features all packed under one app. And you can switch from one to another with just a finger tap on a drop-down menu. All these four text presentation features require plain text files (.text, .txt) as speech transcript sources. Text Rolling: Roll a text script letter by letter with a speed of your selection. Text Highlighting: Highlight keywords that you want to emphasize with a color of your selection over a text script. Text Flashing: Show a text script line by line, letting the app automatically switch them with a time interval of your selection. Text Switching: Show a text script line by line and switch lines on your own by double-tapping the screen. RollerText 3 comes with an 8-page Quick Guide that explains how to use it. Tap the red question mark button over the toolbar menu at the top to read it. - System requirements - 1. iOS 17.0 or higher 2. iPhone or iPad - Limitations- 1. The user must use text files (.text, .txt) as speech transcript sources that are stored in their device or iCloud Drive. 2. As free trial basis, RollerText 3 lets the user have access to as many as three files in presenting text and also create a maximum of three keywords in highlighting text.
