"Japan TAX calculator (VAT)" calculates Japanese consumption tax (VAT) and others by using a calculated price as 10% tax-included price, 8% tax-included price, or Base price.
A frame will be added to Input calc. column after calculation, and the Input calc. price will be entered in a result price column with a frame, and Japanese consumption tax and others will be calculated.
If there is a frame in the 10%tax-incl. column, Input calc. price will be in the 10%tax-incl. column, and other prices will be calculated. The 10% and 8% results are calculated using a common base price.
If there are frames in Base price columns, Input calc. price will be entered in Base price columns, and other prices will be calculated.
You can add a frame to tax-incl. column or Base price column by tapping it.
If you reselect tax-incl. column or Base price column after calculation, the frame will move to the column and Input calc. price will be entered there, and other prices will be recalculated.
If you don’t need an input calculation, tap "=" key after entering a price in Input calc. column.
Instead of tapping "=" key, you can tap a result column.
Tap "copy" key to copy Input calc. price into clipboard.
Tap "Ⓒ" button to copy a price of each column into clipboard.
In the consumption tax calculation of this calculator, the calculated consumption tax amount is rounded down to the nearest yen. Rounding down fractions less than 1 yen is a commonly used rounding of consumption tax in Japan.
If the input value is a 10% or 8% tax-included price and the consumption tax amount is rounded up, the consumption tax amount calculated by rounding up and the tax-included price are shown in blue. (For example, when 10%tax-incl. price is 1,000 yen)
Fractions less than 1 yen of the input calc. price are rounded down to calculate the consumption tax amount, etc.
