it was unable to directly block pop-ups, but it was able to reveal what caused the pop-ups which were hidden frames when you press on them the pop-up will pop, with the frames shown, I was able to manually close those frames and avoid touching them, resulting prevention of pop-up, thumbs up for something that works and free.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. • Fixed an embearassing bug that caused BlockBear to ask you to download block list updates, even when none were available.
