Task comments just got even better. You can now add files, set reminders and manage participants. We also added a quick way to view unread comments and get back to the latest ones.

Improved scalability of the app for larger accounts.

On the task details, you’ll now find task comment threads – accessible via the icon in the title bar. You can start a new thread, reply to an existing one, add team members, or react to comments. We also added a progress bar to Document Checklists and fixed a few other bugs along the way. Look for additional task comment features in our next release.

An all-new interface offers a cleaner look and experience which sets the app up for future updates. Those on the latest Canopy CRM will also now see the global contacts list. A number of bugs were also squashed along the way. As always, please submit any feedback in the app for us to consider as we make future improvements.

Updates to time entries to support locking of saved time -- a feature that will be available soon (stay tuned for that official announcement).

Updated logic for completing a parent task with incomplete subtasks as well as improved support for client list groups.

A few more quick improvements to make the app even better. To better highlight when clients have uploaded files, we added an indicator on the files tab. In addition, sharing office files (Excel, Word, etc.) will remain as .xlsx or .docx instead of being shared as a PDF. We also added clarity to the experience when marking a parent task complete that has outstanding subtasks. Happy tax season!
