HeightCzech is a simple mobile tool for measuring tree height using your smartphone.
The application uses the phone camera together with internal motion sensors (gyroscope and accelerometer) to estimate the height of a tree from a known distance. The measurement can be performed directly in the field without the need for additional forestry instruments.
The app is designed for foresters, students, researchers and anyone interested in practical forest measurements.
Main features:
• Measure tree height using the smartphone camera
• Simple aiming at the base and top of the tree
• Height calculation using phone sensors
• Clear and fast interface suitable for field work
• Works offline without internet connection
HeightCzech demonstrates how modern smartphones can support traditional forestry measurements in a simple and accessible way.
