There are very few changes you'll see as a user in this release. It's mostly some backstage work to prepare for enterprise features allowing you to explicitly store your content in other regions, especially Europe.

You can now edit tags on the video page.

We've made a change to how some folders are organized which requires a change to the app so that you'll still see them all.

Cleaned up a couple of rough edges with the new video page UI and fixed a bug with the size of fullscreen videos.

The video page has been majorly revamped. This makes it easier to see more information at a glance and to dive further in when you want to. We have some more features in the works that build upon this new foundation, too!

There aren't any user facing changes in this version. However, we'll soon be disabling usage of versions of the app prior to this one. If you're interested in the reasoning, keep reading. Otherwise, just imagine I said "bug fixes and improvements". The reason for this is that we're going to start decentralizing the creation of comments. Since the server which creates the comment can now be one of many (in Europe, the US, etc.), we can't just use an incremental (integer) ID, but need to generate a random (string) ID. This change will break the contract between the backend and older app versions and therefore cause prior versions of the app to work incorrectly. Instead of allowing older versions to be used which have a broken commenting experience, we're electing to disable their use entirely.

If you're reading this, I'll keep it real with you. You aren't going to notice any user-facing changes this release. This release just has a couple infrastructure changes related to authentication and analytics. Fun stuff, I know. The last few (err.. bunch) of releases have been infrastructure changes like this, actually. There have just been a ton of changes required as part of getting acquired by Atlassian and it's all happening at once. So, sorry about that, but I'm currently the only developer on the app at the moment. So if you're reading this, please have some pity lol. However, I'm really close to wrapping up a big overhaul to the video page UI which will allow us (err.. me) to bring you more cool new features and improvements, quicker. Also, we might be bringing another engineer onto the team soon, so wish me luck. - Jesse
