Emergency Glide Mode • Quickly identify nearby airports and potential off-airport landing areas in the event of an engine failure when every second counts.  • Enable the Glide Advisor map overlay in the Maps Settings menu and configure the best glide speed and ratio for your aircraft to make Emergency Glide Mode available during a flight.  • A green button in the bottom-right corner of the Maps view shows the current number of airports within glide range. Tap this button to enter Emergency Glide Mode, which provides a focused and distraction-free view of your landing options. • ForeFlight lists promising airports within your glide range in the top right, with information about each airport such as runway length, current weather conditions (if known), and your expected arrival altitude above the airport. • Tap Activate Glide to set up a direct route to the selected airport and expose the Maps view Instrument Panel with real-time metrics as you approach the airport. • If no airports are within your glide range, Emergency Glide Mode highlights roads and power lines, and identifies Possible Landing Areas directly on the map in green. Built from U.S. Geological Survey data, this virtual map layer helps narrow and direct your scan for “best-bet” landing sites most likely to be suitable for an emergency landing. • Emergency Glide Mode is available globally with all ForeFlight plan levels, while the Possible Landing Areas map is available in the lower 48 states of the contiguous U.S. Dynamic Procedures: SID/STAR Support • Brief and fly departure and arrival procedures with a streamlined view of the key fixes, frequencies, and notes you need in the Dynamic Procedures sidebar.  • Like with approach procedures, adding any SID or STAR to your route on the Maps view will add a button in the top-right corner to expand the Dynamic Procedures sidebar and view information about the procedure. • When more than one procedure is included in your route, the sidebar allows you to select which one to view information for, and a back button in the top-left corner of the sidebar allows you to return to this selection view from the details of any procedure. • Dynamic Procedures is available with Essential plans and above in the US and Canada.  Enhanced US Icing & Turbulence Map Layers • Plan with higher-resolution graphical icing and turbulence forecasts for the US with improved data from NOAA’s Domestic Aviation Forecast System (DAFS).  • Both the “Icing (US)” and “Turbulence (US)” map layers are now derived from higher resolution (3 km) model data, down from 13km, providing significantly more detail and precision. • Icing severity forecasts now incorporate improved modeling of liquid water content and large droplet icing environments. • Turbulence forecasts include improved detection of clear-air and mountain wave turbulence, enhanced low-level turbulence guidance, and the addition of convectively induced turbulence (CIT). • The extent of both layers’ coverage outside U.S. borders has been slightly reduced due to the improvements in forecast precision. The global icing and turbulence forecast layers remain unchanged. • Icing and Turbulence forecast map layers are available with Essential plans and above.

Digital ATIS Available with Essential • With the release of T-ATIS for Premium customers, the existing Digital ATIS feature is now available for Essential customers, providing automated D-ATIS messages at over 75 major U.S. airports which you can access in Airports > Weather > ATIS. • A ForeFlight Performance plan is still required for Business and MFB customers to access D-ATIS. Alternate Airports on Maps • Extend your alternate planning workflow to the Maps view with support for selecting and routing to alternate airports. • Add alternates to your flight plan in a few ways: from the action list invoked by tapping an airport’s bubble in the FPL editor or tapping it directly on the map and tapping “More >”, via Procedure Advisor, or by sending a route containing alternates from Flights to Maps. After selecting an alternate you can also specify a route, altitude, and cruise performance profile from the airport to the alternate (requires an Essential/Pro subscription plan or above). • Once added, alternates appear in the FPL Editor connected to their associated airport, and a dashed line on the map connects them on the map, either directly or via the specified route. • Tap the alternate bubble in the FPL Editor to remove it, select a different alternate, or activate your route to the alternate. Logbook: Expanded Takeoff & Landing Types • Log your takeoffs and landings more flexibly by selecting different types of takeoffs and landings in a single entry, with options for day vs night, towered airports, and touch & goes. • In addition to the default four options for Day/Night Takeoffs and Day/Night Full Stop Landings, you can now specify additional takeoff and landing types per entry using the “Add Takeoff/Landing Type” buttons below each section. • The Add Takeoff Type selector lets you specify day vs night as well as whether or not the airport is towered, while the Add Landing Type selector includes these options and also lets you distinguish between full stop vs touch & go landings. After making these selections you can add the new takeoff or landing type to the entry and increment the counter as you would with the default types. • The expanded takeoff and landing types are not backward compatible with prior versions of ForeFlight, so once you start using the new takeoff and landing types in your Logbook entries after updating to the latest ForeFlight version, you will no longer be able to edit your takeoff and landing details on devices running older versions of the app. Be sure to update to the latest ForeFlight version on all your devices if you wish to edit your Logbook from any of them. Active Navlog: Cockpit Sharing • Easily collaborate with crew members when logging fuel, GNE checks, and other waypoint details to produce a single master record for oceanic flights. • Cockpit Sharing is only available to users with a license for Active Navlog and published aircraft profiles that are licensed for ForeFlight Dispatch, both of which may be purchased as add-ons by ForeFlight Business Performance accounts. • A Cockpit Sharing session can be initiated in Active Navlog via a new button in the top-right of the view. With both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled (no specific connections are required) and network permissions granted to the ForeFlight app, tap “Begin Cockpit Sharing” to initiate the session. • The user who initiates the session will be set as the “Master" and will retain edit access to the navlog, while other crew members can then join this session via the same button to have realtime read-only access to the Navlog as it’s edited by the Master. • The Master status can be seamlessly transferred between different users in the same Cockpit Sharing session, allowing any crew member to take on logging responsibility in seconds without the risk of conflicting edits or loss of synchronization. • Signing the Active Navlog after the flight will lock it from further edits and automatically end the Cockpit Sharing session. • Contact ForeFlight Sales to learn more about Active Navlog for Business accounts or visit foreflight.com/active-navlog.

Logbook: Expanded Takeoff & Landing Types • Log your takeoffs and landings more flexibly by selecting different types of takeoffs and landings in a single entry, with options for day vs night, towered airports, and touch & goes. • In addition to the default four options for Day/Night Takeoffs and Day/Night Full Stop Landings, you can now specify additional takeoff and landing types per entry using the “Add Takeoff/Landing Type” buttons below each section. • The Add Takeoff Type selector lets you specify day vs night as well as whether or not the airport is towered, while the Add Landing Type selector includes these options and also lets you distinguish between full stop vs touch & go landings. After making these selections you can add the new takeoff or landing type to the entry and increment the counter as you would with the default types. • The expanded takeoff and landing types are not backward compatible with prior versions of ForeFlight, so once you start using the new takeoff and landing types in your Logbook entries after updating to the latest ForeFlight version, you will no longer be able to edit your takeoff and landing details on devices running older versions of the app. Be sure to update to the latest ForeFlight version on all your devices if you wish to edit your Logbook from any of them. Active Navlog: Cockpit Sharing • Easily collaborate with crew members when logging fuel, GNE checks, and other waypoint details to produce a single master record for oceanic flights. • Cockpit Sharing is only available to users with a license for Active Navlog and published aircraft profiles that are licensed for ForeFlight Dispatch, both of which may be purchased as add-ons by ForeFlight Business Performance accounts. • A Cockpit Sharing session can be initiated in Active Navlog via a new button in the top-right of the view. With both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled (no specific connections are required) and network permissions granted to the ForeFlight app, tap “Begin Cockpit Sharing” to initiate the session. • The user who initiates the session will be set as the “Master" and will retain edit access to the navlog, while other crew members can then join this session via the same button to have realtime read-only access to the Navlog as it’s edited by the Master. • The Master status can be seamlessly transferred between different users in the same Cockpit Sharing session, allowing any crew member to take on logging responsibility in seconds without the risk of conflicting edits or loss of synchronization. • Signing the Active Navlog after the flight will lock it from further edits and automatically end the Cockpit Sharing session. • Contact ForeFlight Sales to learn more about Active Navlog for Business accounts or visit foreflight.com/active-navlog.

Dynamic Procedures: NOTAMs in Sidebar • View NOTAMs relevant to your selected approach or airport directly in the Dynamic Procedures sidebar for quick access to this essential information. • The new NOTAMs button in the sidebar always shows the number of relevant NOTAMs, even when it’s zero, and highlights the number in red when one or more NOTAMs are present. • Tap the NOTAMs button to view the list of active NOTAMs relevant to the selected approach, sorted in reverse chronological order. Tap Show All NOTAMs at the bottom of this list to view all NOTAMs associated with the airport, and use the NOTAM type filter at the top to view all Airport, Obstacle, TFR/ARTCC, or Jeppesen NOTAMs. • Procedure Advisor also now shows a red NOTAMs banner at the top of the approach transition and minimum selection view which you can tap on to view NOTAMs relevant to that approach. • Dynamic Procedures is currently available for all customers in the U.S. and Canada. User Waypoint Styles • Customize the shape and color of your saved user waypoints created in ForeFlight or imported via CSV or Content Packs to unlock greater flexibility and new use cases. • When saving a point as a new User Waypoint or editing an existing one, tap the Waypoint Style field to select from six colors and six icon styles. • Customizing the style of waypoints created within ForeFlight Mobile is supported for all subscription plan levels, while styling for waypoints created on ForeFlight Web’s Custom Content tab for sharing within a multi-pilot account requires the Control Tower subscription add-on. Breadcrumb Speed/Altitude Settings • Set the minimum speed and altitude required for Breadcrumbs to show on the map to better support rotorcraft and other low or slow flight profiles.  • Available altitude settings include 50, 100, or 250 feet, and groundspeed settings include 0, 20, or 40 knots, with defaults of 50 feet altitude and 40 knots groundspeed to match existing behavior. • Both the selected altitude and groundspeed values must be met in order for Breadcrumbs to be drawn on the map. • The settings are available in the new Map Settings > Breadcrumbs menu, which also includes the toggle to show or hide Breadcrumbs and the existing “Clear After” setting to determine how long after landing the Breadcrumbs will disappear from the map. New Ownship Markers • Update your ownship marker and color to reflect your actual (or dream) aircraft with over a dozen new aircraft options. • A number of existing ownship markers have also been renamed, and the Ownship Marker menu now organizes all markers into groups: Standard (includes the default airplane marker and basic pointer), Airplane, Rotorcraft, and Other (includes the V-22 Osprey and blimp markers). • Available in More > Settings > Ownship Marker. Sync Status View • Verify the status of your connection to ForeFlight’s Sync servers and view troubleshooting tips to help resolve data issues as instructed by ForeFlight’s Pilot Support Team.  • Available in More > Sync Status. Prioritize Jeppesen Plates Setting • Jeppesen chart customers who also use other chart sources can disable this setting to use non-Jeppesen sources as the default when automatically displaying a chart, such as when tapping “Taxiways” from the Airports view or when adding an approach procedure to your route via Procedure Advisor.  • The setting is enabled by default to prioritize Jeppesen plates whenever they are available, matching current behavior. • Available in More > Jeppesen.

All customers in supported regions may access the feature as part of a limited 3-month preview, after which it will require ForeFlight’s Essential subscription plan or above. Alternates in Flight Binders • Easily organize and access all the plates you need for a flight with support for alternate airports in Flight Binders. • The improved Flight Binder sidebar allows you to add one or more alternate airports for both your departure and destination and select the full range of procedure plates, airport diagrams, and other charts for each one. Logbook: Custom Currencies • Set up custom currencies in Logbook using a range of field types to track everything from personal flight minimums to insurance requirements. • Create a new custom currency using the option at the bottom of the Add Currency menu, and edit your custom currencies from the currency detail view. • Each custom currency can measure time with either a moving duration or fixed date range, and supports up to six field types, enabling the construction of highly-flexible currency rules. • Custom Currencies are available with ForeFlight Essential subscriptions and above. Graphical NOTAMs Color Change • Graphical NOTAMs of moderate severity are now colored yellow when active to visually differentiate them from upcoming NOTAMs. • All upcoming graphical NOTAMs are colored orange, regardless of their severity, and adopt different colors once they become active: red for severe, yellow for moderate, and gray for low-severity. Helicopter Weight & Balance Support • Helicopter pilots can now integrate W&B calculations into their flight planning in ForeFlight with support for independent lateral and longitudinal CG calculations. • Pre-built W&B templates are available for the following models: H-145 D3, AW139/169/189, and S-92A, with more on the way. • You can manually configure W&B profiles from a blank template for any helicopter model with independently-calculated lateral and longitudinal CG envelopes. Other models, such as the Robinson R44, with covarying CG envelopes are not currently supported for W&B. • You can create and use helicopter W&B profiles in the same way you do for fixed wing aircraft via both ForeFlight Mobile and ForeFlight Web. These profiles include additional fields for calculating lateral CG, including support for variable fuel moment tables along either axis, and provide both longitudinal and lateral envelope graphs. • Planning with helicopter W&B profiles via the W&B view on ForeFlight Mobile is supported for all plan levels, while integrating W&B calculations into your planning on Flights requires a Premium/Performance subscription plan or higher. Helicopter W&B planning is also supported in ForeFlight Dispatch for Business customers. uAvionix AV-30 Support • ForeFlight can wirelessly connect to uAvionix’s AV-30 digital attitude indicator and directional gyro replacement via the AV-Link Wi-Fi module to send route updates and receive live flight data. • When connected to an AV-30, ForeFlight will receive air data and AHRS information to enable backup attitude display in Synthetic Vision, Unusual Attitude Alerts, and other capabilities. • ForeFlight can provide the AV-30 with GPS-based flight plan data, keeping its flight plan automatically synchronized with any route changes made in ForeFlight. • When used with any Sentry-family ADS-B receiver (Sentry Mini, Sentry, or Sentry Plus), the AV-Link will automatically connect to the Sentry’s open (non-password protected) network to integrate ADS-B traffic and weather display, while routing its own AHRS, pressure, and airspeed data via the Sentry to ForeFlight. • In this configuration, both the Sentry and the AV-Link will appear as separate connected devices in More > Devices. Military Flight Bag: C-130J-30 Runway Analysis Support • ForeFlight’s Runway Analysis product for jet and turboprop aircraft now supports Lockheed Martin’s C-130J-30 Super Hercules, the first quad-engine aircraft supported by ForeFlight Runway Analysis. • ForeFlight Military customers interested in purchasing Runway Analysis licenses for their C-130J crews may inquire by emailing ForeFlight sales.

Unusual Attitude Alerts • Quickly recover from potentially dangerous attitudes with the help of a prominent aural and visual alert while connected to certified attitude sources. • The alert triggers when your attitude exceeds certain customizable limits for 2 seconds or more, initially set as 25° pitch up/down, 40° bank above 2000 feet AGL, and 50° bank below 2000 feet AGL. • Regardless of which part of the app you’re currently viewing, the alert opens a window depicting your current attitude in Synthetic Vision, with buttons along the bottom to either dismiss the alert or silence it for 10 minutes. • Unusual Attitude Alerts require a connection to a certified and installed AHRS source such as panel avionics; AHRS-capable portable devices cannot trigger the alert. • This alert is disabled by default; you can enable it and customize the attitude limits in Map Settings > Alerts > Unusual Attitudes. Automatic Logbook Exports • Safeguard your Logbook data with automatic monthly exports of your entire ForeFlight Logbook sent directly to your email. • First introduced on ForeFlight Web’s Logbook tab, this setting is now available in ForeFlight Mobile in More > Logbook > Settings > Auto-Export. • Enable the Export to Email setting to initiate an immediate export of your full Logbook data via email and schedule a recurring export each month as long as the setting is enabled. • Tap Export Options to select which format you’d like to receive the export in: CSV and/or PDF, with the latter mirroring the “Complete Logbook - 2 Page” Logbook report type. • Tap Export Now at the bottom of the view at any time to trigger a fresh export of your Logbook data and reset the monthly export schedule. Logbook Draft Entry Multi-Select • Clean up a backlog of draft Logbook entries quickly and easily with the ability to select multiple entries at once for bulk deletion or approval. • Tap Logbook > All Drafts & Requests to view all draft entries, then tap Select in the top-right to and tap on individual entries to select them, or tap Select All in the bottom right corner. • You can also filter entries by airport, date or other criteria using the Filter bar at the top of the screen before tapping Select to easily limit your selections to only certain draft entries. • After making your selections, tap Delete or Approve in the bottom-right corner to apply the action to all selected entries in bulk. Runway End Coordinates • Easily view and copy the coordinates for any runway’s end threshold at the bottom of the Runway Details view in Airports > Runways or via any airport popup on the Map. Extended Decimal Precision Setting • Add an extra decimal of precision to all distance values displayed in the Instrument Panel and XTRK in Synthetic Vision with a new setting in More > Settings > Units/Time. Australian SARTIME Filing • Pilots flying in Australia can now comply with the regulatory requirement to specify Search & Rescue times and details as part of their flight plan via ForeFlight’s flight plan filing form. • After planning any flight that includes at least one airport in Australia, tap Proceed to File in the bottom-right of the Flights view to open the flight plan filing form, then scroll down to the REMARKS/OTHER INFORMATION section at tap SARTIME filing at the bottom. • The SARTIME filing menu lets you specify the DTG time in UTC, select whether the time is being specified for arrival or departure, and the corresponding airport or lat/long coordinate. • Tap Add in the top-right after entering these details to include them in the filed flight plan’s remarks section. ForeFlight Trip Support Documents in Flights • Customers of ForeFlight’s Trip Support service can now view both the status of contracted services and documents uploaded by the ForeFlight Trip Support team directly in the Flights view for each leg associated with a contracted trip.

NOTAMs in FIR/UIR Map Details • NOTAMs that relate to airspace within an FIR/UIR are now quickly viewable on the map from each one’s Airspace Detail view. • Tap-hold on an FIR/UIR on the map and tap Details next to the airspace name in the list, then tap NOTAMs to review all notices for that facility. Expanded Airport Contact Details • Access more detailed airport contact information in Airports > Info > Contacts. • In addition to name, phone number, and address information, the list of airport contacts now supports fax and clickable websites and email addresses. Dark Mode Support • ForeFlight's app icon now supports Dark Mode on iOS/iPadOS 18 and above. New Zealand Support • Plan and fly in New Zealand with Aeropath-sourced charts, procedures, and documents. • Pilots with the New Zealand subscription region can access VFR and IFR enroute charts, procedure and aerodrome charts, as well as AIP, AIC, and supplemental documents. • Enable the New Zealand chart and procedure downloads in More > Downloads > Regions > New Zealand. • New or existing ForeFlight customers can add the New Zealand region to their subscription on ForeFlight's website to access this data.

Imagery: High Ice Water Content (HIWC) • Plan flights with new High Ice Water Content charts in the Imagery tab to identify areas with potentially dangerous levels of ice water at high altitude. • The HIWC charts highlight areas more likely to have higher concentrations of ice crystals at 500 millibars (approximately 18,000 ft MSL), which are typically associated with convection in the tropics and subtropics. • The new forecast images are available in the Americas, Atlantic, Pacific, and Asia regions within the Imagery tab on both ForeFlight Mobile and ForeFlight Web, and are updated approximately every 30 minutes.
