The changes to screen capture include two key changes: Firstly, we no longer use the system PiP element to show a secondary video source’s feed when one is set up in the scene, and now render it in the output as it is set up in the scene. This gives more control of how secondary feeds are positioned and presented in your scene and removes a common source of confusion for users. Second, a screen capture widget is now shown when a recording or stream using screen capture is active and the app is in the background. This is necessary to keep the app’s video processing pipeline running. We’ll use the correct aspect ratio for your screen by default, your PIP will be displayed instantly and once activated, you’ll see your screen recording in the preview. - Improvement: We use rich thumbnails of your scene for better identification. - Improvement: The original aspect ratio of the image will be used when adding an image layer. - Improvement: Sometimes you want to view your scene preview at the same time as the stream panels, so we’ve moved these to a new tab in the sidebar. - Fix: We’ve fixed an issue where sometimes pinching a video layer to resize it wouldn’t be reflected correctly in the output video. - Fix: We’ve fixed compatibility with certain streaming services when used in the Custom destination. - Fix: We’ve fixed an issue where streaming to YouTube would be locked to 1080p 30 fps.
