Desktop Revealer - one click to reveal your desktop
Desktop Revealer gives you a single, accessible way to hide all your open windows and reveal the desktop. No four-finger trackpad gesture, no awkward function-key shortcut - just one click from the menu bar or dock.
Built for everyone, especially users who need an alternative
macOS normally requires a four-finger spread gesture or the fn+F11 shortcut to show the desktop. Both can be difficult or impossible for users with limited dexterity, motor impairments, one-handed users, or anyone who finds multi-finger gestures uncomfortable. Desktop Revealer reduces the same action to a single click - navigable via VoiceOver, keyboard, or pointer.
Use it your way
Control Desktop Revealer from the dock, the menu bar, or both - whichever fits your workflow. Set it to launch at login and it's always one click away when you need a clear view to find a file, organize icons, or take a focused moment.
Privacy
Desktop Revealer requests Accessibility permission because macOS requires it to send the keystroke that reveals the desktop - there is no other public API for this action. The permission is used solely to perform this single function. The app collects no data, sends nothing over the network, and has no analytics.
Note
If a Finder window was open before revealing the desktop, it may reappear when you click the desktop background. This is standard macOS behavior and not something Desktop Revealer can control.
