A smoother weather panel Scrolling the full-screen weather grid is far faster. It opens on the current hour instead of a day earlier, one tap on the time marker brings you back to now, and the row labels are tidier. KNOW WHAT'S UNDER THE CROSSHAIR As you move the chart, the crosshair names what it's over: wrecks, rocks and obstructions with their depths, bridge clearances, and lights, buoys and beacons with their chart symbol and light characteristic. Over open water it adds the bottom type and the anchorage you're in. MORE RELIABLE DEPTH Chart depth at your boat now reads between soundings, not only on top of one, so the depth display shows a number far more often. YOUR UNITS Temperature in °F or °C. Tide, waves and rainfall in feet and inches or metric. Speed in knots, mph or km/h. Depths now default to feet. If you prefer metres, switch back once in Settings. MORE SIMPLIFIED CHINESE The crosshair readout, Map Layers and the chart downloader are now in Chinese, with light characteristics and bottom types in Chinese chart notation. ROUTE SIMULATION AND TRACK REPLAY Simulations and replays open following your vessel north-up, and a simulation returns the map to the view you had when it ends. Tap a saved track on the chart to open its details. The replay arrow follows the recorded course, and the course line draws above your tracks and routes. OFFICIAL STATIONS FOR THE WHOLE PASSAGE Tide and current predictions along a route now come from the nearest CHS or NOAA station to each point, instead of one station for the entire trip — so a run through a narrows agrees with that narrows' own station.
