fixed many known issues such as when play some XP games, throw json lib error, current version will fix the bug such as some MV games black screen, switch to Desktop mode, change its GL render mode may fix the error though we could map [Up/Down/Shift/Ctrl] to any keyboard key in previous version, the display name does not change in virtual joystick mode, now we fixed the bug, so you can clearly see the key is mapped to which key. enhanced the low resolution mode, indeed, when MV games try to load many big PC images (4096x4096), game may crash immediately, when it happened, switch to low resolution mode, will downscale the image to 1/2 of its original size, I have tested some games, after we switched to low resolution mode, it is ok to play then (note: if the game is ok to play, never switch to Desktop mode or Low resolution mode, these two options are only for the case which the game could not be played, black screen, or crashed, you have no way to play the game, then you can try Desktop mode or Low resolution mode, and low resolution mode will only downscale the large images, we have set the min pixel size for it, when the size reaches 1024x1024, will not downscale any more. Kindly note the two options are trying to give you a chance to play those unplayable games on the fly, they are not a guarantee, if finally you have no way to play the game still, never hesitate to contact with us, our email address is on the app's tutorial page.) for most of MV games which crashed with high resolution images, lower resolution 1 time is ok to run, if crashed still, you may need to lower resolution 3-4 times then, I have tested one MV game which includes many 4096x4096 images, after lower resolution 4 times, it successfully runs in RPGEmu finally. For another 2 MV games which only includes some 4096x4096 images, just lower resolution 1 time is ok to run, we could not test all games, when you find your games not worked in RPGEmu, feel free to let us know. add compatibility for ruby 1.9, which old XP games will require it make virtual joystick a little larger, to avoid when moving player suddenly tapped the game screen (if you preferred ESC/Enter on right side, please switch to virtual joystick, or else, default keyboard will be fine, you can always adjust its opacity in settings too) note: we recommend that you switch to virtual joystick always, as when the game is 8-direction move design, default 4-direction [WASD] will be a little trouble to move the player, virtual joystick can work on both 4-direction and 8-direction very well. add a global option for virtual joystick, if you turned it on in settings, no matter you switched to virtual joystick mode or not, the keyboard will be virtual joystick always.

in previous version, rotate the iPhone may crash the XP game, now we fixed the bug ( Note: some XP game is very old, you may still need to rotate your iPhone to landscape firstly, then, start the game, this will make sure Ruby VM get the correct rendering size, some game may cache the size in disk file, you may need to start from landscape twice to reset the cache, anyway, for some very old game, start from landscape again and again should solve the issue, if not, feel free to contact with us via tutorial page's email address). fixes some bugs in non-UTF8 game.zip, indeed, we tested the game, found the assets is there, while engine could not find it as file name encoding error, now we fixed the error. (Note: you need to import your game.zip into RPGEmu again to fix the error, if the game is ok, just keep it as it is, if the game is broken, try to import the game.zip into RPGEmu again, you maybe surprised the bugs disappeared, as we enhanced the file name encoding logic, such as .utf8, .ascii, .shiftJIS, .EUC_KR, .big5, .GB_18030_2000 all are ok now). update the tutorial page for virtual keyboard's layout and virtual keyboard' key map. add a close button for view source code sheet UI, to align with the newest design guidance. add a "Tap to Start" for MV/MZ(some users still tell us the audio is muted, and some game does need the user to tap the game screen firstly too, so we think adding the UI layer to start the game will be a good experience, please kindly note, some visual novels may need you tap the game screen always, or else it may throw permission error, though the case is very rare to happen, if you see audio permission error for MV/MZ, please tap the screen, hide the virtual keyboard, some old game strictly check your finger tap). (Note: If you are the first time using the app, you had better to read our tutorial page at least once, it will help you enjoy your RPG Maker games more smoothly).

add supports for importing PC MZ games' save files into MZ games in RPGEmu, in previous version, only supported the save files which exported from MZ games in RPGEmu, it means now you can enjoy your MZ games cross platform, for example, played on PC while you are at home, archive the save files [global.rmmzsave, ..., file1.rmmzsave], then load the game into RPGEmu, load the save.zip into MZ Game in RPGEmu, then you can continue playing the game on the go. enhanced the image rendering in XP Game [we find some image is too large, now we use "megaSurface"; and some image name is not encoding UTF-8, we fix the error on c++ side, so any encoding will work now, and even if the image is really not on the path, will use a 32x32 blank image to avoid the app goes to crash]. Note: If you find the game is broken in new version, you will need to import the game.zip again, and delete the broken one, as sometimes we revised too many codes, very hard to keep compatible with old version, hope you could kindly understand it.

fixes some known issues. accelerated the game import process, especially when deals with game audio assets, new version uses AudioToolBox to optimize the file process, however, for large file such as 5GB, it will still need some minutes. new version also fixed the game save logic error for some games. Notice: If the game could not be played in previous version, you could try to import the game.zip into RPGEmu again, the new version may be able to play it now. And if you want to make sure your game.zip is played with latest version, you need to export the game save file, import the game.zip, then import the game save file.

fixes some known issues. enhanced the app's compatibility for more games. notice: 1. when your mv game includes .webm codec is not [vp9, vp8, av1], the game import process will need more time to finish. 2. we find MZ Game may try to play video before user tap gesture, which is not allowed in modern web page, so we blocked the video to play before user tap the web page, you will see a black screen when you opened the game, follow the tip displayed, try to tap the black screen, you may need to tap the edge of the screen, after you tapped the black screen, the game should start to play, we have tested some games, try to tap the screen edge or center, all of them played ok.

Note: when you transfer the game file, do not leave the RPGEmu's screen, or else, the app will terminate the transfer process then crash. add supports for RPG Maker MZ games [MZ Game] add key map customization for virtual key "Up" and "Down", kindly note that not all games require all virtual keys, so, if you find that when you pressed the key, nothing happened, that's an expected behavior, that means the game does not need that virtual key. we added this new feature, as some users say his game needs the virtual key "E", in the new version, now you could map the key "Up" to "E", so you get the key "E", of course, you lost of the key "Up", and we find the key "Up" is not that necessary , as it just does PageUp work. fixes some known issues

use iOS 18 translation API, you now could play this app in your local language in most case. Enhanced the game save logic, now it will be saved progress when the app goes into background or you explicit pressed "Exit The Game" button (of course, you must save the game into File firstly from the game part "save"). Notice: this app is for RPG Maker MV games only, RPG Maker has many products, try other RPG Maker games which not MV will get no luck. add support for exporting and importing game save file detail: you could export the current game save file, then load the game save file back situations you maybe need this feature as follow: 1. you export the game save file from iPad, and send the file to your iPhone, once the game is the same game, you could load the save file back at your iPhone 2. you could even load the save file generated by other apps, once the save file is RPGEmu expected format (.zip, and after extracted, the file should be global.rpgsave, file1.rpgsave, file2.rpgsave...) The new feature will help you continue the game progress without playing the game from beginning again.

enhanced the game audio experience on iPhone in previous version, we solved the issue that audio will be unexpected muted on the iPad, however, that's not enough, when on the iPhone, the issue is still there, this version will fix this bug still, as WKWebView limitation, when you leave the app long time, you must save the game progress, restart the app to continue the game progress in this version, we also put the game control button upper than before when you are in landscape mode (only for the iPhone), we think it is necessary, or else the RPG text content maybe obscured by the controller. Added the "F3" key, it will help you make the game's rendering is correct, so that you can play the game more smoothly.
