• Seven Nights for the Holy Souls: from All Souls, pray for those you've lost one night at a time, "Night 1 of 7". • In Holy Souls week the night is one vigil: every door in the app brings you to tonight's night. • Once you begin Holy Souls week, one evening reminder calls you to your own next night, and on All Souls the evening opens night 1. • One altar for your departed: carry the match from wick to wick to light each candle yourself, then pray one Eternal Rest for them all. • Your departed are named in the stone of your household altar on Today, all year round. • Your household altar on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: one card for the whole house, also through the Holy Souls week. • Send a candle: choose a burning candle on your altar, sign it with your name and send it to the person you prayed for. • The Household Altar widget for your Home Screen: a candle for each person you pray for, burning down through the day, with your departed as quiet lights. • Today puts your household altar right under the day's prayer and follows the Church's seasons, so the season you are in comes first. • Advent is coming: light the wreath week by week, pray the O Antiphons, invite your household, and add the Advent wreath widget to your Home Screen. • The Daily Rosary prays the mysteries of the day, straight from Today. • Reading plans: each day at a glance, each plan with its own painting, and "Continue" always brings you back to the day you are on. • The player's controls stay within reach: they dim instead of disappearing. • Notifications can carry the painting of the moment, at most one a day; you choose which ones in Settings. • Long prayers on a weak connection: if streaming stalls, the prayer downloads and continues where you were. • The player has back 15 seconds, play and forward 15 seconds, and names the prayer that comes next. • Add a photo for each person in your household list. • VoiceOver: close buttons say what they do, you can move through a prayer 15 seconds at a time, and the full text shows if the read-along can't load. • Pray a plan day again straight from its page. • Sleep: a new collection, Saint Michael, Who Stands for His People, with two stories from Scripture. • When we ask whether your reminders may show the names of those you've lost, the question now names them and shows an example. • Sleep stories: titles and descriptions now match the story you hear. • Narration always matches the words on screen, and words and buttons stay whole at larger text sizes.

Candles stay lit. Tapping an intention on the wall now adds your candle and never takes one away — and if you were offline when you tapped, it lights as soon as you are back. Taking down your own prayer, and every answer the wall gives you, now speak your language. When signing in is needed first, the wall says so plainly instead of failing in silence. Putting out your own candle is still yours alone, on the intention page.

The Community tab is now a wall of candles. Light a candle for someone's intention right where it stands, open an intention to read its blessings, and mark your own prayer answered when it is. Larger text sizes now flow through onboarding, the paywall and the Today tab. Small fixes throughout.

• The Today header now speaks at the right hour — it no longer tells you the day is ending at half past four in the morning, the greeting above it agrees with it, and each time of day now has more than one thing to say. • Saints Who Were Attacked now opens — Padre Pio, the Curé of Ars, Antony and Benedict. These four stories were listed but would not play at all; now they do. • The twelve spiritual-warfare sleep stories have been rewritten and re-recorded from the beginning: easier to follow, and they no longer promise a breath they don't give you. • Minimise a prayer and it keeps a real player at the bottom of the screen — artwork, title, where you are in it, and one tap back in. Music and prayer now use the same one. • iPad in landscape is designed for rather than tolerated. • Sleep stories play through to the end instead of stopping partway. • Fixes: the player no longer stacks one dimmed layer over another, notifications arrive in your own language, and twelve scanning errors in the Douay-Rheims text have been corrected at the source.

Brazil, in Portuguese. A new 30-day reading plan, Spiritual Combat, written for Brazilian readers rather than translated for them — every day opens in a scene from ordinary Brazilian life. Aparecida: a plan for the Patroness of Brazil, with no English edition. Fixes: the Rosary is honoured when you choose it in Routine Builder, Today's Word renders again, and the paywall shows the per-month price clearly.
