Lilac now works like the messenger you already know. • Add as many friends as you like: scan their QR in the app, show yours, or send a link. You see their name right away. • Your chats stay on your phone, with times, date dividers and unread counts. • Stickers and reactions, drawn just for Lilac. • Read receipts, only when you both turn them on. • Take back one friend's invite without touching anyone else. Still no phone number, no email, no ads, no tracking.

Privacy hardening: your contacts, names and notes are now kept out of iCloud and computer backups. Nothing changes in how you use the app; existing data moves over automatically the first time you open it.

A fresh new look for Lilac. • New letters now arrive as envelopes: new, opened, or sent, at a glance. • Swipe a friend left to take their invite back. • Your invite is now a sticker-style QR code. • Dark mode that follows your phone's setting.

Take an invite back. • Tap Stop in a chat and the invite you gave that person stops working — nothing new of theirs can reach you. • Messages already on their phone stay on their phone. No app can change that, and we won't pretend otherwise. • Notes: a private space to jot things down for yourself, kept on your device. • Still no account, no ads, no tracking.
