Parallel Spaces is designed with privacy and security in mind. The main app is sandboxed and distributed through the Mac App Store. Most apps downloaded from the internet are compatible, though not every app can be duplicated because some developers intentionally restrict multi-instance behavior. In many cases, Parallel Spaces can work around these limitations. If an app is unsupported, you can request compatibility testing and support may be added in future updates when possible. Shortcut apps created by Parallel Spaces are not sandboxed due to macOS system design, but they are generated locally on your Mac and are completely safe to use.
