Turn off any standard beat your story doesn't need, and turn it back on at any time. Arrange your beats: Drag beats into any order, or move them to a different act. If you change your mind, one tap puts everything back in the standard order. Custom character questions: Add your own questions to any character's arc, turn off the ones that don't fit, and put them in the order that suits that character. Better exports: PDF and text exports now include your custom beats and questions, in the order you arranged them. Free users can add one custom beat per act and one custom question per character. This update fixes data-saving bugs so your work stays put. • Scenes now save reliably. Any scenes that seemed to disappear after you added them will show up again. • New characters and scenes no longer vanish when you switch between the Outline, Characters and Scenes tabs. • Outline edits stay put after a tab switch, and they're saved right away if you leave the app. • Editing a character or scene after switching tabs no longer brings back older text. Suggestions that know your cast Pick a role and ScriptBuilder surfaces the archetypes and jobs that actually fit it, rarest and most specific first. The ones that don't fit step aside — and tell you why, so nothing disappears without explanation. Leads gained Active Protagonist, The Investigator and Catalyst Lead — because "protagonist" was never one thing.
