'You Decide' integrates the decisional balance matrix, a tool grounded in the Transtheoretical Model of Change, to facilitate thoughtful and well-informed decisions. Key features: 1) Decisional Balance Matrix: At the heart of 'You Decide' is the decisional balance matrix, an evidence-based framework that helps users weigh the pros and cons of their choices. This tool is inspired by the Transtheoretical Model of Change, which posits that decision-making is a process of change occurring through stages. This model, developed by Prochaska and DiClemente in the late 1970s, is a cornerstone in psychological research on change processes 2) Integration with existing evidence based treatment models: Our app uniquely combines the decisional balance matrix with principles from Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Motivational Interviewing, a counselling approach, enhances motivation to change by resolving ambivalence. CBT, a well-established psychological treatment, aids in understanding the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. By integrating these methodologies, 'You Decide' offers a comprehensive approach to decision-making 3) Research Backed Guidance: Each feature in 'You Decide' is built on a solid foundation of scientific research. Studies have shown that tools like the decisional balance matrix significantly improve the quality of decision-making.
