Chatterbird connects conversational AI to the eBird database. It allows you to ask questions about eBird data related to recent notable sightings, hotspots, sightings of species, etc. You can use the Anthropic cloud language model or, on iOS26 or later, the on-device model. The model is able to fetch relevant data from eBird and prepare and summarize the results for you. Chatterbird is implemented using Anthropic API for messaging or the on-device LLM (in supported configurations), and the public eBird API.
