Git Rover is a native Git client built from the ground up for touch, with a real code editor, full diff viewer, and the everyday Git workflow you'd expect on the desktop. Whether you're triaging a pull request from the couch, fixing a typo on the train, or kicking off a hotfix from the airport, Git Rover keeps your repositories within reach. CLONE AND WORK ANYWHERE • Clone public and private repos over HTTPS using OAuth or a personal access token • Store working copies in any folder you pick — including iCloud Drive, on-device storage, or an external SSD • Browse the working tree with file-status badges (modified, untracked, ignored, conflicted) • Search file contents across the entire repository with case-insensitive grep A REAL CODE EDITOR • Syntax highlighting for 16 languages including Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, HTML, CSS, JSON, YAML, Markdown, Bash, C, and C++ • Nine editor themes — Default Light/Dark, Solarized Light/Dark, Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night, One Dark, and Gruvbox • Find and Find & Replace, Go to Line, line/column indicator, word wrap toggle • Pick your font family and size — SF Mono, Menlo, Courier, or System • Tap any file to preview with QuickLook; PDFs, images, and documents render natively COMMIT WORKFLOW • Stage and unstage individual files • Discard changes with confirmation • Commit composer with subject/body and saved commit templates (global or per-repo) • Push, pull, and fetch with live progress • View full commit history with author, date, and message — jump to any commit by SHA DIFFS AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION • Unified diff view for any commit, staged file, or working-tree change • Syntax-colored additions and deletions • Hunk-by-hunk merge conflict resolver — pick Ours, Theirs, Both, or write a custom resolution with live preview before saving BRANCHES, TAGS, STASHES • Create, rename, switch, merge, and delete branches • Set or unset branch upstreams from a picker • Create lightweight or annotated tags • Save, apply, pop, or drop stashes • Revert and reset (soft or hard) any commit MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS AND PROVIDERS • Connect GitHub, GitLab (cloud and self-hosted), Bitbucket Cloud, and Bitbucket Server • OAuth sign-in for GitHub and GitLab; personal access tokens for any provider • Browse your repos from connected accounts and clone with one tap • Create pull requests directly from the app SSH AND SECURITY • Generate Ed25519 SSH keys on-device with CryptoKit • Import existing OpenSSH keys • Upload public keys to GitHub with one tap • All tokens and private keys stay in the Keychain — never on our servers ICLOUD SYNC • Your repository list, accounts, SSH keys, and commit templates sync automatically across all your devices via iCloud • Working copies stay on the device where you cloned them PRIVACY FIRST Your source code never leaves your device for any server we control. OAuth tokens and SSH keys live only in the Keychain. iCloud sync uses your own iCloud account — White Bread Games can't see your data.

Bug fixes: • Fixed a bug where committing could fail silently with no error message. This mainly affected repositories stored in a folder you chose yourself in the Files app. • Errors are now explained in plain language instead of showing an internal error code. Push failures caused by a missing or expired token now tell you to sign in again. • Fixed the branch name and ahead/behind counts not appearing for some repositories. New: • Settings › Diagnostics records what happened during recent fetches, pushes and commits, so you can share the details if something goes wrong. Tokens and passwords are removed automatically.
