Okay, you’re right- it’s actually v2.3. But this really is version 2 for Final Outpost! The game has changed massively since we released it over 5 years ago. And we had to burn through a lot of version numbers while developing the new DEFINITIVE edition...

• Fixed an issue where metal sheets were erroneously treated as ‘overflow’ resources, rendering them unusable
• Removed a visual glitch on citizens when leaving the forest
• Loading screen is no longer invisible - finally the new animation can be seen!
• Fixed resource numbers occasionally not updating in top bar when a building is demolished
• Fixed lingering sound effect after destroying a Forge
• Fixed typos and translations in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese

The UI Update is here. This is a big one: we rebuilt the UI from the ground up with new pixel-perfect artwork. Here are the details.
===OVERHAULED UI===
• Completely new visual style
• Brand-new cutscene when starting a new Outpost!
• New clock with animations throughout the day and night
• Dynamic colours in the top bar that show when your resources are at capacity or not yet unlocked
• Improved the resources menu with more information and clarity than ever
• Improved the job menu with new character artwork
• Tools in the crafting menu now display the corresponding job role
• Overhauled the skill tree with levelled tier costs and skill information to help you make the correct choice for your Outpost
• The all-new upgrade menu shows new information about the current state of your buildings, such as worker counts and current production
• Brand-new game over menu - view your stats, return to the main menu, restart or continue all from one place!
• Now view your achievements, leaderboards, and brand-new stats screen from the pause menu (so you don’t miss anything going on in your Outpost)

• Faster incrementing when holding down job assignment and crafting buttons
• Food consumption and birth progress logic is now executed at the end of the hour (i.e. before citizens go to sleep / wake up, rather than after), making the resource menu information more intuitive
• Continuing after losing the game now increases your population if it is low
• Continuing the game is now possible even after your citizens starved to death
• Upgrade menu now displays the number of workers assigned to relevant buildings
• Upgrade menu now shows tools unlocked at each level of the workshop
• Upgrade menu now shows the repair material for walls and how many turrets are available at each level
