## A complete suite for model preparation and optimization
CozyBlanket can perform manual retopology, seam-based UV unwrapping, manual packing, normal maps and vertex colors baking. With CozyBlanket you can take your high poly models and manually prepare them for animation, video games, real-time rendering and surfacing. All with a single app.
With CozyBlanket you can move the technical, manual work of creating 3D assets from your desktop to your iPad. By using a minimal UI and its innovative UX you can perform retopology, uv and baking as an enjoyable, game-like process similar to solving a puzzle, from the comfort of your sofa, on the train or while enjoying a hot chocolate at your favorite cafe.
CozyBlanket was designed to be able to handle high resolution meshes coming from scans and desktop DCCs in mobile devices. Its performance is mostly limited by the iPad available memory.
CozyBlanket allows you to import a high-poly sculpt and export a game-ready asset that looks the same, all without common pipeline issues such as scale mismatches, tangent space errors and snapping artifacts.
## A different approach to retopology, UV and baking
CozyBlanket was designed to be beginner friendly and approachable, but very powerful. You can learn CozyBlanket's fundamentals and start working with it just by seeing it in action. From there, you can start digging into the included instructive tutorial slides and Action Gallery to discover its advanced features.
All tooling was designed to take the most advantage of Apple Pencil and multitouch screens. When doing retopology, you create new quads, patches and grids by directly drawing on the high poly mesh. You can also transform the UV coordinates and texture position by using multitouch over the 3D mesh.
CozyBlanket actions are also coherent between different tasks. Fox example, its Relax action behaves identically when using it for smoothing topology positions, UV coordinates or the baking cage's shape.
## Integrates with desktop software and pipelines
CozyBlanket Standard version supports network functionality, This way it can be integrated with desktop software and pipelines by streaming geometry over the local network. No exporting and transferring files between devices is needed.
CozyBlanket provides a network protocol that can be fully scripted to fit the requirements of your studio pipelines and custom tooling.

CozyBlanket 2.1 includes a dedicated mode for creating papercraft figures, cosplays and hardware prototypes.
CozyBlanket 2.1 can bake high poly sculpts to multipage pdfs, ready for printing and assembling, with support for real world measurements and folding previews.
- Papercraft Mode:
- Distortion free UV unwrapper for creating 3D assemblies
- Distortion preview overlays and error detection: Distortion preview can be configured in UV3D in the Viewport popover.
- Assembly previews per UV island: Use the Relax action with Papercraft mode enable in UV3D to preview the assembly of a piece or its unwrapping errors. Use the Relax action over empty space to preview the assembly of the entire model.
- UI for customizing the model scale. Draw a straight line between two points and hold the Apple Pencil to define the real-world scale of the model.

- CozyBlanket introduces support to be remotely controlled by sending commands over the local network. This allows for cuztomizable integration with desktop DCC and pipelines.

- Partial visibility
- Draw a closed shape starting from empty space and crossing the editmesh to hide that portion of the scene.
- Draw a straight line downwards in empty space to invert the visibility.
- Draw a straight line upwards to show the entire scene.
- New VShowL and VHideL actions allow performing these visibility operations without relying on Pencil gestures.
- Viewport Options Popover
- Editmesh Opacity can be changed
- Editmesh occlusion can be controlled manually. Hold down the increase or decrease button to change the depth threshold that is uses to clip the editmesh against the target.
- Auto Relax
- Auto Relax can be enabled in the Editmesh Popover. Auto Relax automatically slides and adjust the surrounding topology after each operation to maintain an even distribution of quads.
- LoopInf
- The loopinf action displays information about the edge loop under the cursor, such as vertex and edge count, boundary info, snapping info and endpoint info.
- LoopInf can be activated by holding down the pencil tool over an internal edge.
- MergeP
- MergeP can now merge two adjacent triangles into a quad.
- BuildT
- New action to create triangles from existing topology
- Drag from an edge to create a new triangle
- Drag from an inner corner to create two triangles
- New vertices automerge with existing topology when releasing them.
- Boundary Grid Fill
- Before moving the camera, ExtendB can now fill boundaries by creating topology patters.
- Both grid fills and triangle fans are supported.
- Grid fill orientation and spawn can be adjusted by moving the anchor icons over the vertices.
- Boundary fill options are displayed again after each extend step, before moving the camera.
- Boundary Autoselect
- Hold down the Pencil over a vertex of a fully visible boundary to select it and start ExtendB without selecting all vertices manually.
- Force Save and Document Version
- New option to force save and reload the current opened document
- New option to save a new version of the current document, creating a copy of the document with a different name.

CozyBlanket 1.3 introduces the Gallery with 5 new actions, customizable UI, EditMesh commands, Extend Boundary, Draw Strips and Bridge gestures, vertex pins, transform tools and more.
Included in Retopology Pack:
- Action Gallery: New menu containing all actions that can be used with the Pencil.
- Action items can be dragged into slots in the toolbar in order to use them.
- Double tapping an item quickly adds it to the toolbar, replacing the item below the separator and rearranging the remaining items accordingly.
- Tapping and item once shows a Help panel with a video and extra info about the selected action.
- Actions in the toolbar can now be rearranged:
- Drag items from the gallery into a small slot in the toolbar to add a new button to the toolbar. The toolbar can hold up to 14 slots. Small buttons take one slot, large buttons take 2 slots.
- Drag items from the gallery into an existing button to replace the action of that button.
- Drag an item from the toolbar into any empty space in order to remove it.
- toolbar configuration is preserved between sessions.
- ExtendB: Extend Boundary Action
- Draw a continuous path of 3 or more boundary vertices to activate ExtendB. When moving the camera, ExtendB creates a new quad strip attached to the boundary selection.
- ExtendB reports the number of vertices and edges in the active boundary.
- Pressing clear will cancel the next ExtendB action.
- Pressing Extend will do a single strip and preserve the boundary for continuing creating strips.
- Pressing Extend Once will create a single strip and clear the active boundary.
- When "Automatic Steps" is active, ExtendB will create strips while moving the camera.
- ExtendB can also be activated with the Pencil action by drawing a line over 3 or more vertices of the same boundary.
- StripD: Draw Strips Action
- Drag from a boundary quad edge to begin drawing a quad strip. The quad strip will follow the stroke and merge with existing quads.
- StripD can also be activated with the Pencil action by holding down a boundary edge without moving the Pencil.
- TransfV: Transform Vertices Action.
- TransfV creates a set of vertices and locks their transform to screen space. Vertices can be moved, rotated and scaled over the model by moving the camera.
- TransfV reports the number of vertices in the selection and the vertices that can successfully be snapped into the model after the transformation.
- PinFlip: Pins and Pin Flip Action
- Pinned vertices are rendered as a yellow circle.
- Pinned vertices won't be affected by any relax or move action.
- Pinflip can add or remove pins. If the PinFlip action starts over a pinned vertex, PinFlip will remove pins. Otherwise PinFlip will add pins.
- MergeP: Merge Pair Action.
- MergeP merges or collapses two vertices by drawing a line from one to the other. Useful when creating multiple consecutive merges.
- TopBar EditMesh Panel: This panel contains commands that modify data in the EditMesh.
- Snap and Relax all vertices in Editmesh.
- Subdivide and Triangulate.
- Clear Loop Tags and Clear Pins
- Reworked UI for Patch Clone
- Patch Clone now shows in a Panel at the bottom of the screen.
- Patch Clone now shows info about the cloned patch (Vertices, Edges and Faces)
Other Features:
- New gesture for bridge edge loops with the same vertex count.
- New gesture for partially bridging edge loops.
Minor changes and Fixes:
- Topbar panels now show the panel title.
- Fix crash when importing certain .obj files.

- Tweak tool: Moving vertices or sliding edge loops can now be activated from a tool. This is the same action as double tapping with the pencil.
- Build Quad tool: When active, drag from the middle of a boundary edge or a boundary vertex to create a new face one by one. Triangles are merged intro quads and new vertices are automatically merged when dragged on top of an existing one.
Other Features:
- Gesture for rotating an edge: Draw a circle shape over the center of an edge to rotate it and change the direction of the loop flow.
- Gestures for split and merge faces: Quads can now be split into two triangles and two adjacent triangles can be merged into a quad.
