Seaside enhances the motivation to learn by adding instant gratification through economic rewards. As you complete lessons, quizzes, and daily tasks, you earn reward tokens that provide positive reinforcement for your brain, helping you to stay focused and committed to learning in the long term.
Education is often associated with a longer-term internal drive or a "having to do it" attitude, but Seaside helps to create useful habits for learning by incorporating this element of instant gratification.
LEARN2EARN
Earning in the Seaside application is simple. First, download the application from the Apple Store and create a free account. This will generate an internal web3 wallet for you, which can be used to make purchases within the application and store funds for interacting with other cryptocurrency services.
Seaside's wallet also serves as a bridge for users transitioning from web2 to web3, making it easy for them to get started. To unlock advanced features of the application, including the ability to exchange internal tokens for real money and become a Content Creator, users must own a branded Seaside NFT.
EDUCATION IMPACT
Our research suggests that the use of instant monetary gratification in the Learn-to-Earn model significantly increases student commitment to learning. Sixty percent of these students study every day, spending three times more time on the app each day compared to "Pay Upfront" learners.
There are several reasons for this increased engagement: the opportunity to recoup the cost of NFTs or potentially earn more, the fear of missing out on new lessons and quizzes due to the rapidly changing daily and monthly rankings, and the dynamic, community-driven learning content and ability to donate to speakers.
