1. Stroke order is now enforced in writing practice. An option to turn it off is also added; 2. Users can now increase or decrease the font size of the introduction text and the character information page for easier reading; 3. Questions in some tests were modified to avoid confusion.

Added a full new section "Progressive" which organizes characters in the order of their frequencies of being used with the top most common characters first. All these characters are presented with an explanation of their basic usage and, if available, extended meanings so users can grasp the most important ones first. Tests on the basic usage are given for users to measure their own progresses.

This release has major improvements in recorded sound and user experience: re-recorded all pronunciations and now cover all characters in the app, including non-featured ones; the character sound player now overrides the side mute switch, particularly for the convenience of iPad users; simplified iPhone lesson navigation, which conforms more to the iPad version; added more characters to the featured list.

Added a status bar for each featured character to record the status of study: viewed, watched writing demo, and practiced writing. And some other UI improvements for iPhone version.

Enabled sliding from one featured character to another in the same lesson. This feature is added to ease the navigation for iPhone/iTouch users. Also enabled sliding from one character to another from a same search result on the Index page. This feature is added for both iPhone/iPod and iPad. Plus some fixes for character writings.

We've heard your request, and a master index with search functionality is added to the app, which can be accessed via the "Index" button on the main page. There are more characters in the index than those featured on the front page. Not all characters have the full set of pronunciation, formation history, and writing as the featured ones have, but you can use them for a quick look up for meanings.
