BlueTea is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) testing and automation tool for makers, hardware hobbyists, and developers. Scan for nearby peripherals, inspect their GATT services and characteristics, read and write values, subscribe to notifications, then automate all of it with small Lua scripts.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Scan & connect — discover nearby BLE devices, sorted by signal strength, and connect with a tap.
• Inspect GATT — browse services and characteristics, see their properties, and read / write / notify values in hex or text.
• Quick commands — save labelled send macros for the payloads you use most.
• UART console — talk to Nordic UART and similar serial-over-BLE devices, with a live transcript you can export.
• Saved devices — name your peripherals and remember their preferred characteristics so reconnecting is instant.
AUTOMATE WITH LUA
• Write scripts in a built-in editor with syntax highlighting and autocomplete.
• Drive your devices in code: scan, connect, read, write, and react to notifications.
• Build live on-screen panels — buttons, labels, and readouts that update as your device responds.
• Built-in helpers for hex, bytes, JSON, timers, and per-script key/value storage.
• Learn as you go with a Getting Started guide and a searchable in-app Lua API reference.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads.
• Everything you create stays on your device.
• Optional iCloud sync keeps your saved devices and scripts in your own iCloud.
