Fixes for search and keyboard focus:
• With Type to Search off, the search bar now rests as a compact button. Click it or press Shift-Option-S to expand it — and it no longer takes the keyboard when the shelf opens.
• With Type to Search on, pressing Escape dismisses the results but keeps the search bar focused, ready for the next search.
