Native Player brings the playback experience Apple TV was designed for - the native tvOS player interface you already know, with the format support it never had.
MKV, M2TS, MP4, TrueHD Dolby Atmos, DTS, HDR10, Dolby Vision and much more. Your files simply play, with the system player's polish: the familiar transport bar, info panel, audio and subtitle pickers, and buttery-smooth 4K playback driven by the Apple TV hardware itself.
TRUEHD DOLBY ATMOS — A FIRST ON APPLE TV
Movies with Dolby TrueHD Atmos soundtracks have always fallen silent on Apple TV. Native Player renders them on the device itself and delivers full 3D audio to your receiver or soundbar (height channels included). Choose the speaker layout that matches your system, or simply leave the default and let your receiver adapt it.

• Plays single-layer and dual-layer Dolby Vision profiles - including Profile 7 Blu-ray movies, preserving true Dolby Vision
