Off-grid mesh and situational-awareness improvements from tester feedback. Mesh and Meshtastic • Dropped markers now share over the mesh. Points you place on the map reach other OmniTAK devices over Meshtastic or MeshCore, with no TAK server required. • Manage your Meshtastic radio from inside OmniTAK: view, create, and share channels by QR, and set the broadcast interval, role, and rebroadcast scope. • Standard TAKPacket support for interoperability with ATAK's Meshtastic plugin. • Connecting to a radio no longer hangs. It now times out cleanly so you can retry. Situational awareness • See how old a contact's position is, and whether it arrived over the server or the mesh. Interface • In landscape, the toolbar no longer covers most of the map. Fixes • Certificate enrollment now reads the server's TLS config correctly no matter what order the fields are in, fixing failed or mis-identified enrollments on some TAK servers.

Drawing and markers - Edit placed shapes on both the 2D map and 3D globe: drag to reposition, move individual vertices, and resize circle radius. - Full drawing on the 3D globe, with create, select, edit, and delete plus live feedback as you draw. - Your own marker now supports tap-to-select, a heading arrow, and a custom icon, and your heading is shared over CoT. - Lasso select grabs any line or polygon it crosses or overlaps, not only ones centered inside the loop. Connecting to TAK servers - Scan a TAK or ATAK enrollment QR code to connect, with no manual server entry. Drone and UAS - Live drone video over UDP (H.264) in a picture-in-picture window pinned above the map. Icons and symbology - Import custom ATAK icon set packs and use them across your markers. - Larger bundled TAK icon suite. Maps and orientation - North-up lock and a corner compass that rotates with the map. Tap it to snap back to north. - Keep-screen-on now holds the display awake during an operation. - Switching between 2D and 3D is smoother, with the 3D camera starting from your current 2D view. Overlays and coordinates - KML points now show as labeled yellow pushpins. - The coordinate readout has a red frame, matching ATAK. Chat - Dropped markers no longer clutter your contact list, and stale participants are cleared automatically. Settings - Reworked About screen that shows the real app version with links to the site, docs, and source.

What's New in 2.33.0 Drone tools (UAS) • Connect to MAVLink drones and watch live video straight from the aircraft. Drone detection • Pair an external Remote ID sensor over Bluetooth to catch WiFi drone broadcasts your phone can't pick up on its own. Detections show up as live tracks on the map and share to your TAK servers. 3D globe • Choose your base map right from the Layers panel: Satellite, Hybrid, Standard, or Photorealistic 3D. • Faster, sharper loading and much better reliability. The globe recovers on its own if it ever drops, and falls back to the 2D map if it can't load. What's new • Drone detection — OmniTAK now listens for nearby drones (DJI Mavic, Skydio, Autel) broadcasting FAA Remote ID over Bluetooth. Toggle in Settings → Drone Detection → FAA Remote ID Scanner. Detected drones appear on the map as unknown-air UAS contacts with the matching multirotor or fixed-wing symbol. Default off — BLE scanning has a battery cost. • Symbology overhaul — Contacts on the map now render as proper MIL-STD-2525 symbols matched to their CoT type (friendly/hostile/neutral/unknown × ground/air/sea) instead of plain affiliation dots. 108-entry symbol catalog shared with the Android client so symbols look identical across platforms. • Self-position marker — Your own pip is now a friendly-combat MIL-STD frame so it reads as part of the same tactical iconography as friendly contacts.
