If you are changing to subscription based model, you should develop something else.

Making everyone update to subscription based model is for your own benefit. Develop outline 2 or something and make marketing for that app separately instead of making a lot of people unintentionally update into your greedy plan. You cannot even keep your app catching up with the os update, how could anyone trust you?
