Just select the range away in miles, and it will approximately tell you how many feet above or below the cloud top will be. And at night, when you are bored, wondering what that bright light in front of you is, use the built-in stargazer utility with some fun facts about what you are looking at. This app is built by a 30-year airline pilot who will just keep making it better.

Since the iPhone's compass heading is not that accurate, I added a calibration dial. Set it to your plane's heading or find a star or moon to fine-tune the heading.
