ShadowingGO is a learning app that lets you practice English "shadowing" using YouTube videos as your study material. With recommended videos or your own favorite YouTube clips, you can keep up a daily routine of "listen, speak aloud, record and compare, repeat" - easily and without strain.
Shadowing is a learning method where you mimic the English you hear by speaking it aloud almost simultaneously. It's used by many English learners as a way to train listening, pronunciation, and speaking rhythm all at once. ShadowingGO lets you handle the entire practice - from choosing a video to recording and comparing - on your phone alone.

- Practice right from YouTube videos
Just enter the URL of the YouTube video you want to learn from. Practice with material that interests you: a movie scene, a speech, the news, a vlog, and more. If you haven't decided on a video, you can also pick from our recommendations.
- Split into lengths that suit you
You can choose the interval for dividing the video, so you can adjust it to a length that's easy to shadow. Short segments for accuracy, longer segments for fluency - practice in a way that matches your level and goals.
- Record and compare with the original
Record yourself speaking while listening to the video's audio. You can instantly compare your recorded voice with the original English, so it's easy to see at a glance what you need to fix.
- See your similarity score
Your speech is analyzed and scored on how closely it matches the original subtitles. Check your progress with real numbers as you repeat and improve.
- Learning history and favorites
Your practice sessions are saved as history, so you can look back on your average scores and practice time. Add the videos you use often to your favorites and pick up right where you left off.
