易は中国の古く周王朝の時代に確立した占いです。
周の成立は紀元前1046年ですから、易は少なくとも三千年以上も昔から活用されてきた、たいへん歴史のある占いであるといえます。
かの有名な諸葛孔明もその力を用いたように、時の有力者は軍師やブレーンのような位置づけとして易を活用してきました。

六十四卦を上卦・下卦の二つの八卦に分けて解析することができます。
