Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. The cost of the renewal depends on your subscription plan. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal can be turned off in the user’s Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) will be forfeited when you purchase a premium subscription during the free trial period.

I downloaded the “Universal Remote Control” app from the App Store expecting it to work as advertised. Not only was it completely useless — it didn’t recognize any of my devices — but it also immediately charged me through a hidden subscription after a so-called “free trial.” There was no clear warning or confirmation before the charge.I contacted Apple support right away to request a refund, but they flatly refused. Even though the app was deceptive and didn’t deliver what it promised, Apple hides behind its strict no-refund policy and offers zero protection for users in situations like this. It’s incredibly frustrating that the App Store allows these kinds of apps to operate freely and even profit off of misleading practices.This experience left me feeling scammed — not just by the developer, but by Apple itself. I expected better from a company of this size and reputation. Be extremely cautious when downloading anything from the App Store, because if something goes wrong, you’re on your own.
