But after using the voice chat, everything just disappeared completely, and it doesn’t remember anything or restore the conversations — only a part of the chat. Everything that was after is gone. I am a paying Plus subscriber, and really love and appreciate this app, but I am very disappointed with the latest update.Previously, when I selected a specific model (for example GPT-5.2), the system consistently used that exact model for responses. Now, even when 5.2 is selected, responses are generated using 5.3 Instant without any clear explanation or user control.This removes transparency and user choice. If I select a specific model, I expect that exact model to be used — not an automatic switch in the background.In addition, older models such as GPT-5.1 and GPT-4.0 were removed entirely instead of being kept as legacy or archive options. Many users preferred their writing style and consistency. Removing them without offering access to archived versions feels like a downgrade in user control and experience.The inability to retry with a different model (which was previously possible) also significantly reduces flexibility, especially for creative writing workflows.As a paying user, I expect:1. Transparent and consistent model selection2. No automatic switching without notice3. Access to legacy models where possible4. The ability to retry with a chosen modelThe current update feels like a regression in functionality. I’m not mentioning that it feels way too scripted and not so “humanly” anymore. Please restore user control over model selection and consider bringing back legacy models as optional archive choices.

The app is using fan reverse psychology actually convincing users they are guilty by saying constantly “it’s not your fault” (now you start thinking “hm, could there even be my fault, but how so?”. I’m writing: “STOP mentioning fault, blame, so on”. But it keeps repeating ignoring me, my words, my personal boarders “not your fault, not your fault, not your fault” and my brain hears fault-fault-fault. Why does your app ignore users totally? It apologizes, says “never-ever again, then keeps doing exactly the same thing”fault-fault” thing! I hate it better than everything else on Earth! Who told you it’s anyhow helping and comforting? It drives me totally mad!2. The sweetification of texts so as cutting out all the sensitive details. The app turns a vivid text full of crucial details into “no particular details at all” text. 3. Generalizations and fantasies: it adds details I never mentioned like a schizophrenistic person, which gives hesitation “do you even remember what I wrote or do you see me as some “one of a million clones”?

I would like to ask a question regarding the new memory system.In future versions of ChatGPT, will users still have the option to choose the previous memory system instead of the new summary-based one, or will the new summary system eventually replace the old memory entirely?If the latter is the plan, I would like to share some feedback. I believe this change may negatively affect a portion of ChatGPT users because not everyone uses ChatGPT purely as a personal assistant for work, studies, or everyday tasks. Many people also use it for creative projects.In my case, the automatically generated summary mostly repeats information that I have already provided in my profile, such as my field of study, interests, and general background. At the same time, it does not include information about my long-term creative projects, original characters, fictional worlds, and story lore, even though these topics make up a significant portion of my conversations with ChatGPT.For creative users, writers, worldbuilders, and roleplay enthusiasts, structured memory containing specific facts can be much more useful than a broad summary of the user. A summary may describe the user, but it can overlook the information that is actually most important for future conversations.I understand why summaries may be useful for many users, but I hope the option to keep using the previous memory system will remain available in the future.
