Pinch to zoom in landscape now works on every channel. PixelPlay is also now available in Brazilian Portuguese.

Your favourites, hidden channels and locked channels now stay in step across your devices. Take a channel out of your favourites on the iPad, and it's gone from the iPhone the next time you open PixelPlay there. Hiding a channel from the home screen now clears it from every row at once, including Played Fine Here.

Hide channels you never watch. Press and hold a channel and choose Hide Channel, and it leaves Browse, the Guide and everywhere else. Settings → Hidden Channels shows what you've hidden and puts any of it back. Better stream recovery. When the main player can't read a stream's format, PixelPlay now hands it to the backup player. That case used to slip through. Starting out is quicker. The free public catalogue takes one tap, with no confirmation step, and the app now says plainly that you can remove it later and add your own playlist instead. The Guide points you somewhere useful while you haven't started watching yet. If you use PixelPlay in German, Spanish, French or Italian, the Add Source screen is now in your language.

PixelPlay now speaks your language. Every screen, alert and evening reminder is translated into British English. Also fixed: picking a category filter no longer leaves the channel list empty.

Reorder your favorites: Drag favorites into the order you want on iPhone and iPad, and that order follows you to your other devices. Filter the TV guide: The guide can hold thousands of channels, so you can now narrow it by country, language, or category from the filter button, the way Browse already works. A guide that is filled in when you open it: The TV guide keeps its data between launches, so it opens populated instead of blank. Search it from the nav bar, swipe across days on one continuous timeline. Multi-view pane recovery: When the stream in one pane dies, you can retry it, change its channel, or close it without disturbing the others. Panes line up flush now, in landscape too. Player fixes: The mini player fills its frame instead of showing black bars. The seek toast moved out from under the notch. Minimizing is smoother, and relaunching resumes the channel you were watching. Favorites and locks now save to iCloud. Before this, an edit could revert on the next launch.
