Signal is a messaging app with privacy at its core. It is free and easy to use, with strong end-to-end encryption that keeps your communication completely private.
• Send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, GIFs, and files for free. Signal uses your phone’s data connection, so you avoid SMS and MMS fees.
• Call your friends with crystal-clear encrypted voice and video calls. Group calls supported for up to 50 people.
• Stay connected with group chats up to 1,000 people. Control who can post and manage group members with admin permission settings.
• Share image, text, and video Stories that disappear after 24 hours. Privacy settings keep you in charge of exactly who can see each Story.
• Signal is built for your privacy. We know nothing about you or who you’re talking to. Our open source Signal Protocol means that we can’t read your messages or listen to your calls. Neither can anyone else. No back doors, no data collection, no compromises.
• Signal is independent and not for profit; a different kind of tech from a different kind of organization. As a 501c3 nonprofit we are supported by your donations, not by advertisers or investors.

Other apps say they’re secure. This one actually is.
Till Ulen
Signal’s security is unprecedented and really exciting. Go read about the cryptography engineering behind Signal’s creation, it’s truly next-level. Their protocol is now used by WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Google Messages, albeit not for all chats and with a much less rigorous approach to overall security. The UX and visual design were historically subpar, but I can see they’re constantly improving.I wish more groups of people used Signal. Telegram has amazing UX and so many beautiful stickers (and even more abysmally ugly ones), but their security claims are misleading at best. We don’t need to trust an app‘s developers when end-to-end encryption is fully functional with encrypted backups, group chats, and offline message delivery.
The very best messenger, but expect 2 things!

Very cool app to stay connected with people, but don’t u think that if 2FA is there, secure of app will be even better. Also it would be very cute from your side if you start upgrading the appearance of app, thanks!
Not working properly
ftvbffvj.gserg
For the last month or so the app does not work properly, the messages won’t send out/go through, come with significant delays (sometime 2 days), it won’t show that someone is calling you and so on. The mobile and desktop versions conflict. Tired of it really. Have to use it for work, but it’s the worst messenger in terms of UX/UI. I hate that you can’t attach several objects in one time in the desktop version.
Now works very slowly in Kazakhstan

Two weeks ago me and my colleagues started experiencing problems with sending and receiving voice messages and images. Now we are missing even text messages and calls, some messages are received in 1 or 2 hours. Please fix it. We would love to continue working using your app.
• We've introduced additional confirmations and educational messaging in the app to help protect Signal users from phishing and social engineering attacks. As a reminder, never reply to chats pretending to be Signal, and never send your verification code, PIN, or recovery key to anyone.
• Animated GIF searches are now much faster, but it's still up to you if you say what you mean or meme what you say.
