Audiobook Study Player: Echo

Audiobooks to Flashcards

Free · In-App Purchases

Bring your own audiobooks, read along, capture what matters, and control listening from Apple Watch. A study player built around your own library. Listen to the books you own, read along, and keep notes on what matters. Echo is an audiobook study player for DRM-free files you select. Import an M4B audiobook or a folder of MP3 files, and add an EPUB companion for reading. Core import, playback and reading do not require an Echo account. Control playback with chapters, seeking, speed options and a sleep timer. With available alignment markers, companion text can follow the audio and let you jump from a passage to its place in the recording. Choose reading fonts and display settings that suit you, and use the study tools to capture notes alongside your book. The Apple Watch companion provides playback controls for the iPhone app. OPTIONAL CONNECTIONS You can connect Echo to your own Audiobookshelf server to browse and play your library. External AI features send text to the provider you configure. When network access is permitted, importing a book may look up matching public alignment markers, with local fallback for an ordinary lookup failure. This release does not expose public alignment uploads. These connections are optional; they are not needed for local playback and reading. ECHO PRO Core owned-file playback and reading are free. Echo Pro is an optional one-time purchase for additional features on iPhone and iPad. There is no subscription. Existing standard Pro and Founders purchases remain recognized, and Restore Purchases is available from the paywall. Echo is open-source software under the GPL-3.0 license. Bring your own compatible audiobook and book files.
