Punktfunk is the next generation of local game streaming. Stream from your Linux PC, headless server or laptop to your Apple devices — with low latency and built-in support for virtual displays. That means the resolution matches exactly the device you are streaming to. Windows hosts are supported as well. Both our client apps and the server/host are open source. Punktfunk sets itself apart from existing solutions through lower latency, which we achieve with our own QUIC-based protocol.
More features:
• Comprehensive DualSense controller support (adaptive triggers, LEDs and rumble)
• Xbox controller support
• Microphone passthrough: optionally forward the microphone from your client to the host
• Heavily optimised client with Metal-based rendering
• 1 Gbps+ ready: a lot of work went into supporting high bitrates, so high resolutions and refresh rates are possible. Requires a good network/Wi-Fi
• (Experimental) Browse the host's game library on the client and launch games directly
• Windows hosts: 10-bit colour and HDR support
• Statistics: glass-to-glass latency measurement
• Mouse and keyboard support
Ratings & Reviews
This app has not received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Works with hosts from Punktfunk 0.45 on. The new features need 0.46 on the host.
• Profile pictures: the profile picker, the host card and the console show each profile's picture.
• "Automatic bitrate" no longer cuts the rate on a clean link.
• With "Automatic bitrate" off, PyroWave holds your quality for the whole session.
• The first connect after Wake-on-LAN no longer fails while the host's display and GPU come back.
• Switch 2 Pro, GameCube and Joy-Con 2 pads reach the host as themselves, C button included.
• "Video codec" sits beside "Bitrate" and "Prioritize", without "Show advanced".
• Each frame shows a few milliseconds sooner at 120 Hz with HDR, and an iPad on Display Zoom's More Space draws 1:1 again.
Fixed: pairing an advertised host in the console no longer ends in "That host is no longer saved". The exit chord ends the stream without opening the Game Bar or Steam's overlay on the host. A saved host card follows the host's new name, unless you typed the name yourself.
