PRIVACY BY DESIGN
We run no servers and your scanner traffic never passes through us. A hub is simply a second copy of this app on a device you own, talking directly to your other devices over a connection secured by a pairing code. Transmission logs and recordings stay on your device, and captions are produced on-device—no audio is ever uploaded. Subscriptions are handled through your Apple ID.
REQUIREMENTS
A Uniden SDS200 connected by Ethernet to your network, or a Uniden SDS150 paired over Bluetooth. Listening away from home additionally needs a second device left at home running SDS Remote as a hub, with Pro on both. Free includes one scanner and iCloud sync.
Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription with a free trial (see in-app details). Subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID settings.

Lock Screen and Live Activity no longer treat scanning placeholders as a channel name. While the radio is on a control channel you won’t see “ID Scanning…” or “TGID: ---” announced as Now Playing.
SDS200 audio sessions are released and kept alive correctly. Session keepalives and teardown now use the trailing-slash URL the firmware expects, so a disconnect no longer leaves the radio’s single audio session stuck until a reset or power cycle.
Status icons match the radio. The GPS flag actually appears when the scanner is showing it, a truncated BLE frame no longer wipes the whole row mid-transmission, and icons stay in their hardware positions instead of packing to the left.
The waterfall header now shows centre frequency, volume, squelch, and the scanner clock, with a thicker tuned-frequency marker.
Web Remote: SDS150 browser audio is encoded with the standard µ-law bias (it was quiet and distorted). The PIN form stays up if the hub closes an unauthenticated socket, so a slow typist isn’t told the hub is offline. Selecting and switching scanners no longer leaves radios claimed, drops the wrong attachment, or sends volume and squelch to a different radio after a drop.
On Apple TV, the transmission playhead is read-only (Slider isn’t available there).
