Monte Carlo Simulation - Actuarial simulation - Reinsurance Pricing The sim2pro APP enables Actuarial / Monte Carlo simulation in non-life insurance. The resulting compound distribution can be analysed by means of number of losses and loss amount distribution. Graphics, moments and various quantiles are provided here. Reinsurance is also mapped in this version. A typical application is the pricing of excess of loss treaties. Poisson, binomial and negative binomial distributions are included as loss number distributions. The following loss amount distributions can be simulated: Pareto, exponential, normal, generalised Pareto, gamma and Weibull distribution. Based on the Actuarial Simulation2 base version (see APP store, free of charge), the sim2pro APP offers numerous helpful extensions to immerse yourself in a deeper understanding of Monte Carlo simulation: - Up to 1 million simulations possible (graphics only up to 10,000 simulations) - Setting of starting values for the generation of random numbers (seed) Simulation of reinsurance - PerRisk-XL and Aggregate XL - Various features of reinsurance contracts (e.g. reinstatements) - XL pricing - Gross, net and reinsurance analysis - Export of simulation results (file APP) (up to 1000 simulations) - Analyses of the actuarial result This should enable interested young people to understand numerous examples of actuarial analyses using Monte Carlo simulation.
