App Store Award winner Craft is a sleek note-taking app, word processor, to-do list and personal organiser that helps you get your ideas and life in order and keeps your documents always within reach. What once was a random mess becomes an ordered hierarchy that syncs across your iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What we love: Put everything in your digital life – screenshots, novels in progress, recipes, PDFs, even sentimental recordings – into a system where each thing can be organised, searched and linked to another thing. Or create something new: compose and send a newsletter, collaborate on a presentation or type up some code and export it to Markdown. Choose from a variety of fonts, search for and add your own images (or those from a stock photo service), drop in fully formatted tables and more.

Quick tip: Craft lets you nest notes within notes. You can create a note called Recipes, open it and add a second list of Pies, Cakes, Brownies and Enormous Sundaes, then link the notes to keep all the threads connected. It’s like making your own personal wiki.

Meet the creator: Craft founder Balint Orosz was frustrated by the process of collecting, expressing and sharing his thoughts. He constantly got distracted and often felt like he was fighting with sluggish, complex tools. He worked on the concept of Craft for more than a year and a half, gathering a small team along the way. The first beta was released right as the Covid-19 pandemic hit, so the team used Craft to help them adjust to remote work while continuing to adapt and build the app.
