Safari extensions give your browser serious superpowers, letting you block ads, find the best prices and discounts while you shop, save web pages for offline reading and much more.
Get started with these tips, then check out the extensions below, handpicked by our editorial staff.
Add an extension
Adding an extension is easy: After downloading it from the Mac App Store, go to Safari > Settings, click Extensions and check the box next to the extension.

Use extensions with Profiles
The Profiles feature in Safari makes it easy to separate your browsing activity – including bookmarks, history, Tab Groups, website data and which extensions are active – for personal, work and school use. After you set up a profile, it syncs across all your devices, and it can turn on automatically when you switch to a specific Focus.
Stay in sync
With Safari extensions that support syncing, you’ll get the same experience across all your devices. When you enable or disable an extension on your Mac, for example, the setting syncs automatically to your iPhone and iPad. And once you’ve installed an extension that supports syncing on one device, you can also install it on any other compatible device right from the Extensions tab in Safari settings.
To enable the feature on Mac, go to the Extensions tab in Safari settings and toggle on Share Across Devices. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings > Safari > Extensions and toggle on Share Across Devices.
