Knowte Transcribe uses OpenAI API calls to transcribe and format the audio, you will need to obtain an OpenAI API key - eg by signing up to https://https://platform.openai.com/
Because we use the APIs online, Knowte Transcribe is lightweight compared to a transcription app that uses on-device models. On-Device models can be very large and resource-hungry if you need a quality transcription, online models like the ones used in Knowte Transcribe are more capable and leave your device lighter. There are reasons to use on-device models, and reasons to use online models - Knowte Transcribe is online only!
