Description

Alabama Bicentennial Park is located in Montgomery across from the State Capitol. It features 16 bronze sculptures depicting key moments in Alabama history. Accompanying text panels describe both the extraordinary achievements and difficult lessons of the state’s past. The series concludes with a hopeful look toward a bright third century for Alabama. The AL200 Park app offers detailed views of the sculptures, the full content of text panels, and the story of the park’s creation. It also provides links to destinations and online resources for further education and exploration. Alabama Bicentennial Park was dedicated on December 14, 2019, the 200th anniversary of statehood.
