Bad customer service, inaccurate delivery times on busy days
Home delivery is perfectly fine for on bolt food, but today, on Valentines day I tried collection from the restaurant and the estimated time was way off the mark… I arrived 10 mins before the estimated time and had to wait AN HOUR outside the restaurant to get my food, which was cold when I got it and had to wait outside in the cold. Ofc not all is bolt food fault, but the estimated time could definitely be improved, how many other orders must there be before us to delay it by THAT much. Either the restaurant must’ve declined our order or we must’ve gotten a refund because at that point the least I cared about was the food… Also when we arrived 10 mins early than the estimated time, we asked the restaurant how long it will take and they said 30 more mins, I asked them to cancel but they said I have to do it. So i contacted support, and they suggested that No! You mentioned that you will have to wait another 30 mins but we suggest you better wait. I couldnt be asked to argue on the spot for god knows how long as idk how long they will respond for… maybe the food will be prepared by the time they reply, anyways it was all a horroble experience, but maybe this is purely from colletion stand point… after explaining how disappointed I was to the support, they offered a measly 1.5€ refund which is a complete joke.
Worst client support / worst service
-Unfair client assistance. -late response. -never bringing a solution -if I want to cancel my order because it took an hour and half longer than expected, they tell me they will charge me to compensate the restaurant. And if the restaurant decide to cancel on me after taking my order for an hour and half, why don’t you charge them and compensate me and my time ? -they are never compensating the inconveniences and never accurate or efficient . Check my last order experience (which is a terrible one of so many) and you will see. i was cancelled on after 80minutes of wait, exactly at the time when my delivery was supposed to arrive . After all of that waste of time, and most of the other restaurants closed already, the support answered after ages and said, your money will be refunded in 14 days! Seriously? I decided to delete my account and uninstall this bolt food application forever. And I hope all the costumers who had such experiences would do the same to help improve the service and get them to take good actions and respect the costumers. PS: I have been using the app since it first started in my region years ago and noticed how the service quality dropped completely to the ground and underneath when they got more users.
Order never arrived
It’s ridiculous how this app and service doesn’t protect customers from curriers that are cheating, and how poor customer support is (which is basically just an AI or human using AI templates). Can’t believe this is happening in 21st century. I’ve ordered my food, the delivery kept being delayed for around 30 minutes and then I got a message that order arrived 10min ago. I checked behind the door - nothing was there. No one contacted me or rang the door. All my contact details and address were correct. Order marked as delivered. Spent an hour just trying to find support and chatting with only option available - AI bot that later was said to he an agent but from responses I doubt it was human. There was no currier contact information provided, no phone number for bolt support too. Support via chat was saying ridiculous things such as wrong location provided and currier texting me that both were not truth. At the end, they didn’t respond at all to my messages. I paid for food, but never got it. Will never ever use this service again, seeing how unprotected customers are.
